    Abstract: A production system for producing a composite fiber component, in particular a wind turbine blade, includes: a working surface; an optical device for optically capturing features of the working surface and/or of plies laid on the working surface, the plies including fiber material; a computing device for determining a parameter of the captured features and a comparative result depending on a comparison of the determined parameter and a reference parameter; and a feedback device configured to give feedback depending on the comparative result. In this way, the ply lay-up process is monitored and deviations is detected easily and as they occur.
