  • Patent number: 5855742
Abstract: A device for drilling a layer of coke within a reactor to effect the decoking of the reactor includes a decoking tool arranged at one end of a hose for conveying a decoking fluid to the tool. The decoking tool has a first part and a second part coaxial with the first part. The second part has means for ejecting the decoking fluid against the coke layer, including a first ejection means for ejecting the fluid in a substantially axial direction downwardly to penetrate the coke layer, a second ejection means ejecting the fluid in a substantially lateral direction and a third ejection means for ejecting the fluid in a substantially upward direction to remove any coke accumulated above the tool.

  • Patent number: 5244129
Abstract: An apparatus for filling a receptacle with a divided solid product, comprises a feeder hopper and a dispersion head. The dispersion head includes a series of parallel and coaxial plates superimposed on one another wherein the surface area of the plates diminishes from the top plate down to the bottom plate. The whole assembly is devised such that each plate includes an aperture which allows gravity feed to the plate situated immediately underneath. The lower plate may include an aperture in order to feed the center of the receptacle. The plates are rotated to permit ejection of divided solids by centrifugal force. At least one of the plates has apertures and is placed at the exit of the hopper and in front of the particle distribution plates.

  • Patent number: 5238035
Abstract: An apparatus for filling a receptacle with a divided solid product by a dispersion head comprises plates which rotate about an axis dispersing into the receptacle at various distances from the axis particles of the solid product which flow over the plates.

  • Patent number: 4828651
Abstract: Process for the removal of coke from a coking reactor of a series of coking reactors, comprising the projection of water under pressure at the coke via a water-ejection device hanging from a flexible tube guided by a guide pulley movably mounted above the reactors for translation between each reactor of the series of reactors.

  • Patent number: 4789459
Abstract: The invention concerns a process for recovering power in a fluid catalytic cracking unit used particularly for the treatment of heavy charges, wherein at least a portion of the power available in the gas flows withdrawn from two catalyst regenerators (4) and (21) of a fluid bed catalytic cracking unit are recovered.According to the invention the fumes from regenerator (4) are fed to one of the stages of a turbine (35), the pressure in this stage being lower than the pressure of the fumes from regenerator (4) and the fumes from regenerator (21) (whose pressure is lower than that prevailing in the first regenerator (4)) are fed to another stage of the same turbine (35) whose pressure is lower than that of the stage to which the fumes of regenerator (4) are supplied.
