  • Publication number: 20190328924
Abstract: Automated air freshener dispensers and cartridges therefor are provided herein. Air freshener dispensers include a housing having a cavity for receiving a cartridge containing an air freshening substance for release, a fan that induces an airflow through the housing and directs the airflow to an area outside of the air freshener dispenser, such that released air freshening substance is entrained in the airflow, a motor for driving the fan, at least one sensor, and a controller that receives a signal from the at least one sensor and directs operation of the fan in response thereto.

  • Patent number: 10391192
Abstract: A freshener device includes a clip, a carrier, and a carrier retainer. The carrier is provided with odor emitting substances, odor eliminating substances and/or incest repellent. The carrier retainer secures the carrier to the clip, and the clip may be used to secure the device to an ancillary object so as to expose the carrier for controlling odor within a region of space near the ancillary object. Some embodiments enable removably securing the device to at least one air-directional controller exhaust vent louver of a vehicle air conditioning unit to control odor within the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Other embodiments enable interchangeable and replaceable components to provide various utilitarian and aesthetic features.

  • Patent number: 10258708
Abstract: A controlled diffuser device can include a cover, a louver panel, a substrate member, and a base is disclosed. A cover and a base can be configured to affix to each other to sandwich a substrate member and a louver panel while enabling a substrate member and louver panel to slidably engage a base upper surface. A substrate member may comprise a material that changes in a physical dimension as it diffuses aromatic components. Because of static securement and slidable engagement configurations, a louver panel operatively shutters apertures of a cover to selectively moderate varying degrees of exposure of a substrate member as a substrate member changes in a physical dimension. Other embodiments may include a base configured to receive a substrate member and have a cover placed over top. As the substrate changed in physical dimension, the cover can be caused to move relative to the base.

  • Publication number: 20170087266
Abstract: Air freshener cartridges and assemblies are provided herein. An air freshener cartridge includes a body formed of a polymer material impregnated with an air freshening substance for release, the body having a plurality of walls defining a plurality of axial airflow channels therebetween, and a base member including a support frame in contact with a surface of the body and for loading the cartridge into the air freshener dispenser and unloading the cartridge from the air freshener dispenser. An air freshener assembly includes an air freshener cartridge and an air freshener dispenser having a housing with a support member defining a cavity for removably receiving the cartridge, and a fan within the housing operable to induce an airflow through the axial airflow channels of the body, to direct the airflow to an area outside of the air freshener dispenser.
