  • Publication number: 20240153290
Abstract: Examples of various method and systems are provided for information extraction from scene information. 2D image information can be generated from 2D images of the scene that are overlapping at least part of one or more object(s). The 2D image information can be combined with 3D information about the scene incorporating at least part of the object(s) to generate projective geometry information. Clustered 3D information associated with the object(s) can be generated by partitioning and grouping 3D data points present in the 3D information. The clustered 3D information can be used to provide, e.g., measurement information, dimensions, geometric information, and/or topological information about the object(s). Segmented 2D information can also be generated from the 2D image information. Validated 2D and 3D information can be produced by cross-referencing between the projective geometry information, clustered 3D information, and/or segmented 2D image information, and used to label the object(s) in the scene.

  • Publication number: 20100068462
Abstract: The invention relates to an evaporation element and a method for its production. The evaporation element comprises a diffusion layer with a textile structure for the surface-distribution of a liquid to be evaporated. For a good liquid distribution the textile structure of the diffusion layer comprises a plurality of fibrils that are provided with longitudinal grooves along their exterior.

  • Patent number: 4332775
Abstract: Hydrogen is produced by dissociation of water in a rotary tubular reactor (1) having a receiving end covered by a cap (2) transparent to solar radiation and provided with a small window (12) connecting a collecting chamber (3) to an opaque insulated heating chamber (5).The tubular reactor (1) constitutes a "black chamber" provided with two series of tubes (7, 8) for heating and dissociating the water. Tubes (7) have a porous section (7a) for separating hydrogen by molecular diffusion according to Knudsen's principle. The concentrated solar radiation entering through the small window (12) falls on one end of the tubes (7, 8) and is largely absorbed by multiple reflections on these tubes.A slow rotation of the reactor (1) enables the bending forces and stresses due to the weight to be compensated.

  • Patent number: 4053368
Abstract: A process for the purification of water comprises a step-wise procedure for heating and evaporating water to be purified at different location and then condensing water thus evaporated. The water is heated in the form of a sheet by solar energy while in a pan at least part of the bottom of which is capable of absorbing the heat content of solar radiation, and in which it is covered by a layer of liquid which transmits solar radiation therethrough, is immiscible with water and which has a vapor pressure less than that of water. The liquid is usually an oil. Various mechanical devices are disclosed for optimizing utilization of solar radiation reaching the pan. Evaporation of heated water removed from the sheet of water to the evaporator is preferably effected under reduced pressure.
