Abstract: An occupancy sensor may control a load in response to its own operating conditions. In some embodiments, the occupancy sensor may include an energy storage device to operate the occupancy sensor when a load it controls is not energized. The occupancy sensor may energize the load to transfer energy from the load to the occupancy sensor when the amount of energy stored at the occupancy sensor reaches a threshold level. In some other embodiments, the occupancy sensor may include two sensing circuits and a connection to transfer energy from a load it controls to the occupancy sensor when the load is energized. The occupancy sensor may disable one of the sensing circuits when the load is not energized.

Abstract: An occupancy sensing system includes a driver to emit energy in a space, and a sensor to detect energy reflected within the space. An electrical load for the space is controlled in response to an occupancy condition determined in response to the detected energy. The driver may be selectively de-energized. In some embodiments, the driver may be de-energized during all or a portion of an unoccupied period. In other embodiments, the driver may be de-energized during all or a portion of an occupied period. In some further embodiments, the driver may be de-energized in response to detecting other sources of the type of energy emitted by the driver.

Abstract: A threshold measure is determined for an advertisement based on one or more parameters associated with the advertisement. A determination is made as to whether the threshold measure exceeds a filter threshold. The advertisement is promoted if the threshold measure exceeds the filter threshold, and an actual cost-per-click for the advertisement based on the one or more parameters and the filter threshold if the advertisement is promoted.
