Abstract: A robot that includes an RL agent that is configured to learn a policy to maximize the cumulative reward of a task, to determine one or more features that are minimally correlated with each other. The features are then used as pseudo-rewards, called feature rewards, where each feature reward corresponds to an option policy, or skill, the RL agent learns to maximize. In an example, the RL agent is configured to select the most relevant features to learn respective option policies from. The RL agent is configured to, for each of the selected features, learn the respective option policy that maximizes the respective feature reward. Using the learned option policies, the RL agent is configured to learn a new (second) policy for a new (second) task that can choose from any of the learned option policies or actions available to the RL agent.

Abstract: A method or system for adaptive vehicle spacing, including determining a current state of a vehicle based on sensor data captured by sensors of the vehicle; for each possible action in a set of possible actions: (i) predicting based on the current vehicle state a future state for the vehicle, and (ii) predicting, based on the current vehicle state a first zone future safety value corresponding to a first safety zone of the vehicle; and selecting, based on the predicted future states and first zone future safety values for each of the possible actions in the set, a vehicle action.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a gripper assembly for gripping a product. The assembly comprises first and second mounting members; an actuator for causing relative movement between the first and second mounting members; and a plurality of gripper members spaced apart about a primary axis. At least one the gripper members comprise a resiliently deformable body comprising a distal end and first and second connection formations spaced from the distal end and from each other, the first and second connection formations being connected to the first and second mounting members respectively such that an axial component of movement between the first and second mounting members caused by the actuator in use imparts a rotation of the distal end of each gripper member in a direction towards and/or away from the primary axis.

Abstract: A system provides medical device data to a system user. The medical device data is provided as an icon indicating compliance or non-compliance by the medical device user in connection with a predetermined set of usage criteria. Compliance is calculated based on usage data that is provided by the medical device. The system user may select one of the icons so as to have the system generate a compliance report. The compliance report may then be transmitted to a reimbursing entity.

Abstract: A method of determining a void volume during manufacture of a composite pipe formed of concentric layers of adjacently positioned, helical windings of composite tape has the steps of: (a) scanning the surface of a layer of adjacently positioned, helical windings to generate scanning information; (b) using the scanning information to locate gap(s) between adjacent windings and to determine the number of gaps and characteristic dimensions of each gap in the layer; and (c) generating a calculated void volume of the layer, using the number of gaps and the characteristic dimensions of each gap for the layer. The invention also relates to a corresponding apparatus for determining a void volume during manufacture of a composite pipe formed of concentric layers of helically wound composite tape.

Included in the present spiker anvil is a head with an outer periphery, the head outer periphery including an indentation that mates with a hammer pin of the rail fastener driving workhead unit. Also included in the spiker anvil is a body defining a body outer periphery and a tip defining a tip outer periphery, a substantially flat bottom surface, a first chamfer and a second chamfer, the bottom surface being perpendicular to the tip outer periphery, and the first and second chamfer connecting the bottom surface and the tip outer periphery. Further, the spiker anvil includes a cavity within the tip with an opening in the bottom surface and an insert placed within the cavity, such that the insert includes an end which extends beyond the bottom surface.

The laminar assembly includes a plurality of tubes and is coupled to the fan so that air flow generated by the fan passes through the plurality of tubes to create the air barrier. The attachment mechanism attaches the laminar assembly to a user in a location near the user's head such that the air barrier created by the laminar assembly is positioned in front of the user's face. A plenum is positioned between the fan and the laminar assembly such that the air flow generated by the fan passes through the plenum and then through the laminar assembly. The airflow device acts as a face shield that protects the user from airborne contaminants and viruses.

The geogrid thus includes three different repeating geometric shapes. The inner hexagons preferably also can move up and down, out of the plane of the geogrid. The multi-axial integral geogrid thus provides a geometry configured to engage with, confine and stabilize a large variety and quality of aggregates.
