  • Publication number: 20220140684
Abstract: An electrical machine for use in an aircraft, including a rotor. The rotor includes a plurality of rotor poles, and a stator including a plurality of phases. Each respective phase occupies at least one elementary block and the at least one elementary block of each phase includes a set of conductors of the respective phase wound around a plurality of slots of the respective elementary block in a concentrated winding configuration. A mechanical shift angle between the respective concentrated windings of each pair of adjacent elementary blocks is greater than a rotor pole pitch. The rotor pole pitch is an angle between adjacent poles of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 8981604
Abstract: The invention provides an active element for an electromagnetic machine, the element comprising an alternating succession in a main direction of portions presenting a first magnetic property and of portions presenting a second magnetic property, wherein the element includes a non-magnetic covering that is thin relative to a thickness of the portions and that extends to cover a substantial fraction of an outside surface of the active element, the covering being secured to at least some of the portions and presenting sufficient strength to form a member for mechanically transmitting the magnetic forces to which the portions are subjected.

  • Patent number: 8294408
Abstract: The invention relates to a power supply having two inverters (A, B) in series for powering an electromechanical actuator having an electric motor including a plurality of windings (R1, R2, R3) forming phases, each inverter being connected to its own ground (50; 51) and having a voltage source (U1; U2) having as many arms (A1, A2, A3; B1, B2, B3) as there are windings to be powered, each arm including two controlled switches (5, 6) connected in series, with a point therebetween being provided for connection to one end of one of the windings. According to the invention, each inverter includes an additional arm (A4; B4) having two controlled switches, the two additional arms being interconnected by a bridge (7) that is connected to each of the additional arms at a point that is situated between the switches.

  • Publication number: 20110169350
Abstract: The invention provides an active element (20) for an electromagnetic machine, the element comprising an alternating succession in a main direction (X) of portions (21) presenting a first magnetic property and of portions (22) presenting a second magnetic property, wherein the element includes a non-magnetic covering (25) that is thin relative to a thickness of the portions and that extends to cover a substantial fraction of an outside surface of the active element, the covering being secured to at least some of the portions and presenting sufficient strength to form a member for mechanically transmitting the magnetic forces to which the portions are subjected.
