Abstract: An insulative device including an inner layer configured to contact a wearer's body, an outer layer coupled to the inner layer and configured to face away from the wearer's body, a pad disposed between the inner layer and the outer layer and the pad configured to cover a region of the wearer's torso corresponding approximately to the location of the lungs of the wearer, and wherein the inner layer includes a wicking material and the pad includes a sweat absorbing material so that sweat is wicked away from the body, absorbed in the pad, and prevented from evaporating near the wearer's body keeping the region around the lungs warm while allowing the rest of the wearer's body to stay cool so that symptoms of lung ailments are reduced.
