Patent number: 11459057Abstract: An adjustable axle retaining structure is disclosed. The structure includes an axle receiving feature on a first leg of a fork assembly and a retaining sleeve within a clamping member on a second leg of the fork assembly. An axle is inserted through the clamping member, the wheel hub and coupled with the axle receiving feature. A component of the axle is tightened thereby moving the retaining sleeve partially out of the clamping member and toward the wheel hub until the wheel hub is in contact with both the retaining sleeve and the axle receiving feature, wherein the moving of the retaining sleeve allows the axle to radially couple the wheel hub with the fork assembly without modifying a preestablished geometry of the fork assembly.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2020Date of Patent: October 4, 2022Assignee: Fox Factory, Inc.Inventor: Daniel McCormick

Publication number: 20220288380Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards systems and methods built for predictively timing the inflation and/or deflation of an intra-aortic balloon pump. A controller operates in three states: (1) initialization state, (2) learning state, and (3) peak detection state. The controller decomposes a patient's electrocardiogram signal to a power signal. It then learns characteristics of the patient's electrocardiogram signal during the learning state and computes adaptive threshold parameter values. During the peak detection state, the controller applies the learnt threshold parameter values on a current electrocardiogram signal to identify occurrence and timings of R peaks in the electrocardiogram signal. The R-to-R peak timings are then used to trigger inflation of an intra-aortic balloon pump.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 29, 2022Publication date: September 15, 2022Inventors: Robert M. Smith, Nagarjuna Reddy Chinta, Ryan Daniel McCormick, Douglas Edward Ivers, Cranos M. Williams, Divyakumar Mahiman Badheka, Hubert Troy Nagle, JR., Sai Bhargav Dasari, Shamim Samadi

Patent number: 11422051Abstract: A device for use in pressure sensing such as hydrocephalus shunts, having a housing enclosing a chamber with at least one port communicating with the chamber. A wall of the chamber includes a flexible portion or thin diaphragm that deflects with transitions in pressure to contact an upstand structure of the housing. A pressure sensor is contained within an enclosure sealed from the chamber by a flexible membrane and which receives fluid pressure from the chamber. This arrangement allows for calibration of the device by identifying a knee feature in pressure data associated with the diaphragm making contact with the upstand.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 2017Date of Patent: August 23, 2022Assignee: Auckland UniServices LimitedInventors: David Mortimer Budgett, Dixon Pok Chung Leung, John Daniel McCormick
