  • Patent number: 7652631
Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment of the present disclosure, methods and systems for radiating elements are provided. In a method embodiment, a method of forming a radiating element includes forming a pair of conductive fingers having first and second portions. The first portion is a dipole arm. The conductive fingers are separated by a tapered notch that has a width at a first end that is less than a width of a second end. For each conductive finger, the method also includes capacitively coupling the first portion of the conductive finger to the second portion of the conductive finger.

  • Publication number: 20060152426
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, an array antenna includes a substrate body, a first antenna element, and a second antenna element. The first antenna element is coupled to the substrate body and is operable to transmit or receive a first signal. The second antenna element is coupled to the substrate body and is operable to transmit or receive a second signal. The first antenna element is of a different type than the second antenna element. The direction of polarization of the first signal is different than the direction of polarization of the second signal.

  • Publication number: 20060017617
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a conformal channel monopole array antenna includes a base plate having a continuous electrically conducting channel formed therein, and a substrate coupled to the base plate. The substrate has a plurality of radiating elements formed on a first surface thereof. Each radiating element includes a radiating portion, a feed line, and a resistive end load. The feed lines are configured to couple to respective ones of a plurality of transmission elements.

  • Publication number: 20050269337
Abstract: A single-use, disposable, shelf-stable beverage container having a sealed liquid held in the cup reservoir by a membrane film and having a cutting tool concealed within the lid cavity that pierces the membrane when the lid is depressed. The single-piece lid and drink spout are of a valve-less, non-articulated sippy-style design that restricts the flow of liquid and reduces spillage. The container can be inexpensively thermoformed, easily filled and hermetically sealed and easily adaptable to hot-fill, aseptic and retort packaging materials and methods making it a low cost, ready-to-drink, convenient alternative to the traditional tumbler-style sippy cup.
