  • Publication number: 20220302711
Abstract: A versatile, modular power system is described which includes a refinery in conjunction with renewable energy sources and a vapor recovery unit which in combination with power from sources of renewable energy produces stacked power to be stored in a power storage center, to be used back in the system or to be distributed to an external power grid.

  • Patent number: 10018457
Abstract: Devices and methods for measuring roller chain wear are provided. A roller chain wear gauge may include an elongated structure configured to be inserted into a gap between two roller links of a chain joined by a pin link of the chain, the chain having an associated chain size. The elongated structure may include a first side surface, a second side surface, a length extending along a longitudinal axis of the elongated structure, and a plurality of widths located along the length and defined by and between the first and second side surfaces. The first side surface may extend at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis such that the plurality of widths continuously tapers over the length. The plurality of widths may be calibrated against a reference chain representative of the associated chain size.

  • Publication number: 20050092459
Abstract: A composition and method for forming investment casting shells includes using colloidal silica, zircon flour, and fused silica in a slurry which is applied to a pattern. After the slurry is applied to the pattern, it is allowed to partially or completely solidify. After the shell has solidified, the pattern may be melted or otherwise removed. A molten material is introduced into the shell and allowed to cool to form an article. Finally, the shell is broken away or otherwise removed from the article. The improved shell slurry composition and corresponding method minimizes pattern-to-pour cycle times and is environmentally friendly.

  • Publication number: 20050045769
Abstract: The invention includes a method of mounting a component to the skin of an aircraft. The component can include a drain valve, a gas cap, other external fuel instrumentation such as sensors, and antennae. One aspect of the invention includes a new method of mounting a drain valve to an aircraft fuel tank. The drain valve in the method includes any conventional drain valve having a stem and a flange that surrounds the stem. The method includes applying a material around a drain opening of the fuel tank; the material directs an electric charge away from the drain valve.

  • Patent number: 5847558
Abstract: A signal sampling circuit receives a clock signal indicative of a sampling rate and a periodic input signal to produce a digitized sampled output signal. The sampled signal is applied to an all-pass filter having a single pole/zero pair in which the pole/zero values are determined by a number supplied by a number generator. The number generator varies the applied number in a random or pseudorandom fashion to create a correspondingly random or pseudorandom variation of the transfer function of the filter. The filtered sample signal is then further processed by an absolute value operator and an average value operator for application to an amplitude responsive device such as a meter. The random or pseudorandom variation of the filter transfer function introduces a corresponding random or pseudorandom variation of the phase shift imposed upon the sampled signal within the filter. This.

  • Patent number: 5435517
Abstract: A swing arm bracket assembly includes a shaft having a plurality of journals. One end of the shaft connects to a motor drive shaft. Each journal of the shaft has a bearing thereon and is of approximately the same axial length as the bearing. A support member is provided which connects on one end to a machine and on the other end connects to the motor. The support member also rotatably engages at least one of the bearings on the shaft. A swing arm is provided having an arm portion and a cylindrical sleeve portion extending axially through the support member. The cylindrical sleeve portion rotatably engages at least one of the bearings on the shaft.

  • Patent number: 3946634
Abstract: Strain mechanism for bandmill using deadweight lever mechanism in which undesirable effects of inertia of counterweight and friction at knife edges are reduced. Rolling diaphragm air cylinder is used in one of three positions. In first position cylinder extends between arbor carrier arm and plunger tube and supplies portion of saw strain permitting lighter counterweight. In second position it extends between counterweight arm and plunger tube and eliminates counterweights. In third position counterweight is supported on counterweight arm by yoke supported by cylinder which resiliently mounts weight.
