Abstract: A device for communicating via satellite includes a transceiver unit operable to transmit a signal comprising a packet encoded by modulation of a carrier wave from the device to a satellite, a controller unit coupled to the transceiver unit and operable to control operations of the transceiver unit; and a personal area network (PAN) connection that communicatively couples the device with a smartphone. The transceiver unit modulates the carrier wave with the packet via chirp spread spectrum modulation or similar and sends the signal to the satellite within a designated band of frequency such as the L-, S-, C-, X-, Ku, Ka, Q-, or V-Band of spectrum.

Abstract: A satellite communication system includes a server system and a transceiver array communicatively positioned between the server system and a satellite ground station. At least one stage is based on a predetermined prior treatment plan. Dental appliances can be fabricated having geometries determined based on at least one stage. Patient wear of successive dental appliances manipulates the patient's teeth to a final, aligned teeth arrangement, as planned by the method.
