  • Publication number: 20240127367
Abstract: A crop prediction system performs various machine learning operations to predict crop production and to identify a set of farming operations that, if performed, optimize crop production. The crop prediction system uses crop prediction models trained using various machine learning operations based on geographic and agronomic information. Responsive to receiving a request from a grower, the crop prediction system can access information representation of a portion of land corresponding to the request, such as the location of the land and corresponding weather conditions and soil composition. The crop prediction system applies one or more crop prediction models to the access information to predict a crop production and identify an optimized set of farming operations for the grower to perform.

  • Patent number: 11960817
Abstract: The generation of a web site preview based on client presentation state of the client that will render the web site preview. Upon a service receiving a request to provide preview data for a web site preview corresponding to a web site identifier, the service determines client presentation state of the client(s) that is or are to render a web site preview using preview data that is to be provided in response to the request. The service selects a preview template at least in part based on the determined client presentation state. The service also populates the selected preview template with content from the web site to thereby generate preview data representing a preview of the web site identified by the web site identifier. The preview data is thus tailored to the presentation state of the client.

  • Patent number: 11961081
Abstract: Shoppers install a software app on a mobile device and create a user profile. The shopper scans a fingerprint using a fingerprint sensor. Scanned fingerprint data is wirelessly transmitted to the shopper's mobile device for re-transmission over the Internet for storage in a secured server. The shopper can add payment methods (credit cards, debit cards, etc.) to the user's profile. Participating merchants registered with the payment system provide a fingerprint sensor at the point of sale. A shopper transacts purchases at a merchant's location by placing a finger on the fingerprint sensor. Scanned fingerprint data is transmitted to a merchant point of sale device and re-transmitted over the Internet to confirm the identity of the shopper, and to complete the transaction. A shopper makes purchases online using the installed software app. Participating merchants integrate APIs with existing e-commerce platforms, allowing merchants to charge and/or request access to user payment accounts.

  • Patent number: 11959090
Abstract: Compositions and methods for controlling pests are provided. The methods involve transforming organisms with a nucleic acid sequence encoding an insecticidal protein. In particular, the nucleic acid sequences are useful for preparing plants and microorganisms that possess insecticidal activity. Thus, transformed bacteria, plants, plant cells, plant tissues and seeds are provided. Compositions are insecticidal nucleic acids and proteins of bacterial species. The sequences find use in the construction of expression vectors for subsequent transformation into organisms of interest including plants, as probes for the isolation of other homologous (or partially homologous) genes. The pesticidal proteins find use in controlling, inhibiting growth or killing Lepidopteran, Coleopteran, Dipteran, fungal, Hemipteran and nematode pest populations and for producing compositions with insecticidal activity.
