  • Publication number: 20220270610
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods transcribe words recorded in audio data. A computer-generated transcript is provided. The transcript comprises records for each word in the computer-generated transcript. At least one confirmation input is received for each record. The at least one confirmation input modifies a selected record and automatically identifies a next record for receiving a next confirmation input. A sequence of confirmation inputs may rapidly modify and validate each record in a sequence of records in the computer-generated transcript. A validated transcript is generated from the modified records and is provided from an evidence management system.

  • Publication number: 20220270104
Abstract: Shoppers install a software app on a mobile device and create a user profile. The shopper scans a fingerprint using a fingerprint sensor. Scanned fingerprint data is wirelessly transmitted to the shopper's mobile device for re-transmission over the Internet for storage in a secured server. The shopper can add payment methods (credit cards, debit cards, etc.) to the user's profile. Participating merchants registered with the payment system provide a fingerprint sensor at the point of sale. A shopper transacts purchases at a merchant's location by placing a finger on the fingerprint sensor. Scanned fingerprint data is transmitted to a merchant point of sale device and re-transmitted over the Internet to confirm the identity of the shopper, and to complete the transaction. A shopper makes purchases online using the installed software app. Participating merchants integrate APIs with existing e-commerce platforms, allowing merchants to charge and/or request access to user payment accounts.

  • Patent number: 11409103
Abstract: A light-guide optical element (LOE) includes a transparent substrate having two parallel major external surfaces for guiding light within the substrate by total internal reflection (TIR). Mutually parallel internal surfaces within the LOE are provided with a structural polarizer which is transparent to light polarized parallel to a primary polarization transmission axis, and is partially or fully reflective to light polarized perpendicular to the primary polarization transmission axis. By suitable orientation of the polarization axis of successive internal surfaces together with the polarization mixing properties of TIR and/or use of birefringent materials, it is possible to achieve the desired proportion of coupling-out of the image illumination from each successive facet.

  • Patent number: 11370982
Abstract: A feedstock delivery system transfers a carbonaceous material, such as municipal solid waste, into a product gas generation system. The feedstock delivery system includes a splitter for splitting bulk carbonaceous material into a plurality of carbonaceous material streams. Each stream is processed using a weighing system for gauging the quantity of carbonaceous material, a densification system for forming plugs of carbonaceous material, a de-densification system for breaking up the plugs of carbonaceous material, and a gas and carbonaceous material mixing system for forming a carbonaceous material and gas mixture. A pressure of the mixing gas is reduced prior to mixing with the carbonaceous material, and the carbonaceous material to gas weight ratio is monitored. A transport assembly conveys the carbonaceous material and gas mixture to a first reactor where at least the carbonaceous material within the mixture is subject to thermochemical reactions to form the product gas.

  • Publication number: 20220099885
Abstract: An optical system for displaying an image includes a waveguide (10) having two major surfaces (12, 14) that support propagation of image illumination by internal reflection. A coupling-out configuration (16, 18) couples out image illumination towards the eye of the user. An image projector (20) is coupled so as to introduce image illumination into the waveguide so as to propagate by internal reflection. The waveguide also contains a symmetrical beam multiplier region, distinct from the coupling-out region, having one or more beam splitters (24) internal to the waveguide and parallel to its major surfaces. The symmetrical beam multiplier may be used to fill in a conjugate image after a compact coupling-in configuration, and/or may be used to fill the waveguide with the image as an intermediate stage (36) between two optical aperture expansion configurations (32, 34).

Abstract: A two-stage syngas production method to produce a final product gas from a carbonaceous material includes producing a first product gas in a first reactor, separating char from the first product gas to produce separated char and char-depleted product gas, and separately reacting the separated char and the char-depleted product gas with an oxygen-containing gas in a second reactor to produce a final product gas. The separated char is introduced into the second reactor above the char-depleted product gas. The solids separation device may include serially connected cyclones, and the separated char may be entrained in a motive fluid in an eductor to produce a char and motive fluid mixture prior to being transferred to the second reactor.
