  • Patent number: 7377220
Abstract: A chair for an aerial transport installation comprises a pivoting protective cover actuated by an operating mechanism with automatic latching of the cover in the closed position. An operating lever is pivotally mounted on a first pivoting spindle of the cover and operates in conjunction with a latch actuated by a cable transmission device between a latched position and an unlatched position. The latch comprises a first arm equipped with a latching nose and a second arm designed to come up against a first stop corresponding to the latched position or a second stop corresponding to the unlatched position. The latching zone is situated at the base of the shell, preferably in a gap situated between the first spindle and the second spindle.

  • Patent number: 7344744
Abstract: A container for a food product includes a wrapper which surround a polygonal frame. The wrapper forms a top of the container and has an access opening. A sealing label, adhesively sealed to the top around the opening, is resealable when a tab of the sealing label is pulled back. The sealing label is resealable against the top layer to seal the opening when the sealing label is moved back against the top. Various tamper-evident structures are provided to indicate when the container has been initially opened or tampered with.

  • Publication number: 20080029348
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling a braking unit of a rope transport installation. The command signals of a first braking means are modulated, until the installation is stopped, by means of a first modulation circuit integrated in the control unit to automatically regulate the running speed of the rope according to a first predetermined deceleration setpoint curve activated by said braking order. The command signals of a second braking means are simultaneously modulated by means of a second modulation circuit integrated in the control unit to automatically regulate the running speed of the rope according to a second predetermined deceleration setpoint curve activated by said braking order, the instantaneous value of the second setpoint curve being at all times greater than the value of the first setpoint curve. The invention also relates to a braking unit of a rope transport installation enabling the method to be applied.

  • Publication number: 20070284219
Abstract: A transport installation comprising a continuous running rope supporting vehicles arranged at intervals along the rope with a preset running rate, comprises: a vehicle grouping section, arranged between a slowing-down section and an intermediate section, equipped with means for forming groups of a preset number of vehicles, a vehicle separating section, arranged between the intermediate section and a speeding-up section, to collectively stock each group coming from the intermediate section. The invention also relates to a method for controlling such an installation.

  • Publication number: 20060115597
Abstract: The subject of the present invention is a method of preparation of a monolithic hydrated alumina by the oxidation of aluminium or an aluminium alloy in the presence of a mercury amalgam that contains at least one noble metal, such as silver. This hydrated alumina serves inter alia as base product in methods of preparation of amorphous or crystalline aluminas, or of aluminates, which themselves serve as base products for methods of preparation of composite materials based on oxides, on metals, on carbon products and/or on polymers. Application of the said products obtained by the said methods in many fields, such as catalysis, thermal and acoustic insulation, magnetism, waste storage, and preparation of radioelement transmutation targets.

  • Patent number: 6290425
Abstract: The disengageable clamp of a cable car or chair lift has a control lever 17 carrying the movable jaw 14, articulated on the fixed jaw 13. At least one flexion leaf spring 23 is interposed between the clamp body 10 and the control lever 17 in order to force this lever into the clamp closure position. Two leaf springs can be disposed on each side of the clamp body 10.

  • Patent number: 6221506
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a bushing baseplate, and to a bushing baseplate. The bushing baseplate is characterized in that it comprises tips (18) constituted by hollow tubular elements of outside diameter slightly smaller than the inside diameter of holes (16) in the plate (12) forming the bushing baseplate, which tips are subjected to a step of being expanded radially relative to their axes. The method is simpler and less expensive.

  • Patent number: 5778611
Abstract: A vent extension flashing assembly having a tubular outside vent stack cover which is secured to a substantially flat roof flashing base plate. The tubular outside vent cover has a diameter larger than the vent pipe to be covered by the vent extension flashing assembly. The assembly includes a tubular inner vent stack cover positioned within the tubular outer vent cover, wherein the tubular inner vent cover includes a diameter smaller than that of the covered vent pipe so as to fit within the covered vent pipe. When the assembly is positioned over the vent pipe, the vent pipe extends between the tubular outer vent cover and the tubular inner vent cover. A rigid expandable portion is formed on the innermost end of the inner vent cover and is capable of being expanded by a cam member to engage an inner surface of the vent pipe to hold the inner vent cover in place within the vent pipe.
