  • Publication number: 20230325404
Abstract: A method for executing a query on a target database against the most recent source data is disclosed. The method comprises maintaining linked—i.e., at least partially synchronized—databases comprising a source and a target database. The method comprises receiving a direct query against a table in the target database, the query comprising a request for using the most recent source data and requesting by the target database from the source database a status about latest data regarding the table. Upon the status indicating that data in the table do not correspond to the most recent data, the method comprises waiting up to a predefined time period for the most recent data of the table to be synchronized from the source database to the target database, and upon the data of the table not being synchronized within the predefined time period, the method comprises issuing a timeout signal.

  • Publication number: 20230288687
Abstract: A method for operating a light microscope comprises emitting and guiding a plurality of illumination light beams towards a specimen (6) to form a plurality of separated illumination light spots (2A, 2B, 2C, 2D) at the specimen; and guiding detection light beams (11) coming from the illumination light spots (2A, 2B, 2C, 2D) to a detector (10) comprising a plurality of sensor arrays (31-34). Each sensor array (31-34) comprises photon-counting detector elements (40), and detection light beams (11) from different illumination light spots (2A, 2B, 2C, 2D) are guided to different sensor arrays (31-34). Measured signals from the sensor arrays (31-34) are analysed to determine positional information about the light spots (15) on the sensor arrays (31 -34). It is adjusted where the light spots (15) hit the sensor arrays (31-34) based on the positional information. A corresponding light microscope is furthermore disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230235583
Abstract: A mortar applicator includes: a duct; a piston movably mounted within the duct, dividing the duct into first and second variable volume chambers; a pump fluidly connected to the first variable volume chamber; a nozzle operatively connected to a first end of the duct to discharge mortar contained in the first variable volume chamber; and a motor operatively connected to the piston. A rack and pinion assembly operatively connects the motor to the piston and includes a rack configured to drive the piston and a pinion connected to the motor. In a discharge mode, the motor drives the rack and pinion assembly, moving the piston to force mortar through the nozzle opening to discharge mortar from the mortar applicator. In a refill mode, the pump fills the first variable volume chamber with mortar, forcing the piston to retract. The rack moves with the piston in the discharge and refill modes.

  • Publication number: 20220290942
Abstract: The buttstock assembly uses a modular design including interchangeable end attachments and sling strap connectors. The interchangeable end attachments allow the buttstock to have different toe heights and configurations for different shooting applications. The interchangeable strap connectors allow the use of either quick-disconnect style sling swivels or more traditional fixed strap loops as desired. The buttstock assembly also uses a “trigger” style locking mechanism to selectively position and lock the buttstock along the length of the extension tube to adjust the overall length of pull of the weapon.

The slide device facilitates pulling back the pistol slide utilizing relatively little force. The device includes an adaptor and a rack plate interconnected by a sliding dovetail joinery. The adaptor replaces the traditional slide cover plates on conventional striker fired pistols. The rack adaptor has an integral interface shoe, which seats within a complementary channel in the rack plate. The rack plate has a pair of opposed side protrusions or wings that are configured to fit or be engaged by the fingers or hand of the user, so as to allow the user to easily pull the pistol slide rearward.
