  • Patent number: 11978159
Abstract: A cross reality system that provides an immersive user experience by storing persistent spatial information about the physical world that one or multiple user devices can access to determine position within the physical world and that applications can access to specify the position of virtual objects within the physical world. Persistent spatial information enables users to have a shared virtual, as well as physical, experience when interacting with the cross reality system. Further, persistent spatial information may be used in maps of the physical world, enabling one or multiple devices to access and localize into previously stored maps, reducing the need to map a physical space before using the cross reality system in it. Persistent spatial information may be stored as persistent coordinate frames, which may include a transformation relative to a reference orientation and information derived from images in a location corresponding to the persistent coordinate frame.

  • Patent number: 11960592
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improving the security of personal information by preventing attempts at gleaning personal information from authentication questions. A computing device may receive a request for access to an account associated with a user. The request may comprise candidate authentication information. Based on comparing the candidate authentication information with the account data, the computing device may generate a synthetic authentication question. The synthetic authentication question may be generated as if the candidate authentication information is valid. A response to the synthetic authentication question may be received, and the request for access to the account may be denied.

  • Patent number: 11960104
Abstract: Control systems for liquid lenses can use feedback control using one or more measured parameters indicative of a position of the fluid interface in the liquid lens. Capacitance between a fluid and an electrode in the liquid lens can vary depending on the position of the fluid interface. Current mirrors can be used for making measurements indicative of the capacitance and/or the fluid interface position. The liquid lens can be calibrated using the measurements indicative of capacitance and/or fluid interface position as the voltage is driven across an operational range. A control system can use pulse width modulation (PWM) for driving a liquid lens, and a carrier frequency for the PWM signals can be varied to control power consumption in the liquid lens. The slew rate can be adjustable to control power consumption in the liquid lens.

  • Publication number: 20240119136
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improving the accuracy of synthetic authentication questions by analyzing third party account data. A request for access to a first account associated with a user may be received. The first account may be managed by a first organization. A transactions database might be queried for first account data. Second account data corresponding to a second account associated with the user might be received. That second account may be managed by a second organization different from the first organization. One or more second transactions, unique to the second account, may be identified. A synthetic transaction, configured to be different from transactions in the first account and the one or more second transactions, may be generated. An authentication question may be generated based on the synthetic transaction. Access to the first account might be provided based on a response to the authentication question.

  • Publication number: 20240120284
Abstract: A semiconductor substrate is configured for dicing into separate die or individual semiconductor devices. The semiconductor substrate can comprise silicon, silicon carbide, or gallium nitride. A dicing grid bounds each semiconductor device on the semiconductor substrate. A die singulation process is configured to occur in the dicing grid. Material is coupled to the dicing grid. In one embodiment, the material can comprise carbon. A laser is configured to couple energy to the material coupled to the dicing grid. The energy from the laser heats the material. The heat from the material or the temperature differential between the material and the dicing creates a thermal shock that generates a vertical fracture in the semiconductor substrate that separates the semiconductor device from the remaining semiconductor substrate.

  • Patent number: 11954192
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improving computer authentication processes using vocal confidence processing. A request for access to an account may be received. An authentication question may be provided to a user. Voice data indicating one or more vocal utterances by the user in response to the authentication question may be received. The voice data may be processed, and a first confidence score that indicates a degree of confidence of the user when answering the authentication question may be determined. An overall confidence score may be modified based on the first confidence score. Based on determining that the overall confidence score satisfies a threshold, data preventing the authentication question from being used in future authentication processes may be stored. The data may be removed when a time period expires.

  • Patent number: 11954187
Abstract: Aspects described herein may relate to techniques for detecting login activity to a financial account during a knowledge-based authentication process. The login activity may be related to access to an online interface for the financial account. The detection of login activity during the authentication process my indicate that the integrity of the authentication process is compromised as login access may provide an individual with transaction data that may be used to answer transaction-based authentication questions. As a result of detecting login activity, an alternative authentication process may be initiated or an authentication request related to the financial account may be denied.

  • Publication number: 20240110811
Abstract: Techniques are discussed for modifying map elements associated with map data. Map data can include three-dimensional data (e.g., LIDAR data) representing an environment, while map elements can be associated with the map data to identify locations and semantic information associated with an environment, such as regions that correspond to driving lanes or crosswalks. A trajectory associated with the map data can be updated, such as when aligning one or more trajectories in response to a loop closure, updated calibration, etc. The transformation between a trajectory and an updated trajectory can be applied to map elements to warp the map elements so that they correspond to the updated map data, thereby providing automatic and accurate techniques for updating map elements associated with map data.
