  • Publication number: 20230248097
Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to an apparel layer system configured to provide variable levels of insulation, warming, or air permeability. The apparel layer system comprises a first layer of material and a second layer of material both extending in a first planar direction. A third layer of material is positioned between the first and the second layers of material and is selectively affixed thereto. An adjustment mechanism coupled to the second layer of material can be mechanically manipulated to shift the second layer of material between different positions or states to achieve variable levels of offset between the first and second layers of material in the first planar direction and in a second direction perpendicular to the first planar direction.

  • Patent number: 11700121
Abstract: Techniques for securing access to protected resources are provided. In the method and apparatus, an access key and proof of successful completion of a first authentication is obtained in connection to a request. The proof of completion of the first authentication and the access key are verified. The access key is then used to generate a determination that information in the access key indicates that a second authentication was successfully completed prior to allowing the request to be fulfilled.

  • Patent number: 11490839
Abstract: A funnel-shaped extension attachment is provided for a blood collection device. The attachment provides a larger area for collecting a fingertip blood sample from a patient than the collection device itself would otherwise provide. The funnel is preferably easily removable from the collection device after the blood sample is taken. Optional trenches running down one or more corners of the attachment may be used to encourage pulling blood drops from the finger tip through capillary action. A tube may also provide another location to encourage pulling blood drops from the finger tip through capillary action. The funnel attachment may be mated with the collection device at a point of manufacture, or separately shipped and installed over the collection device at a point of use.

  • Patent number: 11449372
Abstract: To ensure that clients use the most current versions of schemas and provide requests to particular Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) in a desired order, identifiers associated with resources may be used to determine client requests that comply with desired schemas and API interactions. When a request to access a first resource is received, a link to a second resource and an identifier may be provided. When a request to access the second resource is received, if the identifier associated with the request is absent or does not match the expected identifier, the request may be denied without using computational resources to process the request. Identifiers may include strings included in Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs) or query parameters. Identifiers may also include modified field names, arrangements, or other characteristics of schemas associated with the requests. Schemas of received requests may be converted to standard schemas to prepare a response.
