  • Patent number: 10323275
Abstract: Described is a method for sequencing a polynucleotide strand by sequencing by synthesis, the method including selecting a predetermined order of nucleotides to provide to a sequencing reaction, the order being selected to correlate with a predicted sequence for the polynucleotide strand; monitoring the reaction to detect incorporation of a nucleotide into a synthesized polynucleotide strand; wherein, in the event that nucleotide incorporation is detected, proceeding to provide the next nucleotide in the predetermined order. In the event that nucleotide incorporation is not detected, the predicted sequence for the polynucleotide strand may be revised and a new predetermined order of nucleotides selected, wherein the new predetermined order is selected to correlate with the revised predicted sequence. In this way, the sequencing reaction provides feedback to modify the order of nucleotides provided, thereby improving the efficiency of the sequencing reaction.

  • Patent number: 8737602
Abstract: A passive, non-amplified audio switch for a computer telephony system is provided. The passive, non-amplified audio switch provides a first telephone jack to receive audio in and send audio out to a first user. The passive, non-amplified audio switch provides a second telephone jack to receive audio in and send audio out to a second user. The passive, non-amplified audio switch further provides audio out and receives audio in from a voice platform, which transcribes audio using a speech to text engine. The passive, non-amplified audio switch provides that audio in from the second user is always provided to the voice platform for transcription.

  • Publication number: 20130189699
Abstract: Provided is a method of identifying an unknown nucleic acid comprising the steps of combining the unknown polynucleic acid with known nucleic acid reagents in a reaction chamber; producing a first quantity of protons from a polymerisation reaction when bases of one or more of the unknown nucleic acids are complementary to the bases of one or more known nucleic acids comprised within the known reagents; producing a second quantity of protons from a hydrolysis reaction of by-products of the polymerisation reaction with one or more enzymes; monitoring an electrical output signal derived from an ISFET exposed to the reaction chamber; and correlating changes in an output signal with said reactions between the unknown polynucleic acid and said known reagents to thereby identify the unknown nucleic acid.
