  • Patent number: 10134571
Abstract: A detector (100) comprises an upstream ionization chamber (110), a downstream detector chamber (120) and a signal processor (160). The ionization chamber (110) comprises a first electrode (111), a second electrode (112) and an ionization chamber gas (114). The detector chamber (120) comprises a converter unit (130) adapted to convert incident radiation (6) into electrons (8), an electron amplification device (140) adapted to produce further electrons (9) from the electrons (8), a read-out device (150) adapted to generate a signal representative of the incident radiation (6) and a detector chamber gas (121). The signal processor (160) is adapted to generate a corrected signal by processing the signal representative of the incident radiation (6) based on a current signal representative of an ionization current measured between the first electrode (111) and the second electrode (112) and induced by the incident radiation (6).

  • Publication number: 20160089299
Abstract: An edema therapy apparatus for the treatment and therapy of such conditions as edema, lymphedema, clotting and thrombosis. Apparatus is characterized by flexible wrap containing a plurality of vibration motors housed within a corresponding plurality of vibration motors mounts, all of which integrate into wrap. Vibration motors are inserted into vibration motor mounts allowing transfer of vibration from the motors themselves to the applied area. Vibration motors are connected by a wired circuit, which is coupled to a barrel plug adapter at an opposing end of the apparatus. Power is to be applied to the circuit containing the motors by a portable power supply housing a plurality of batteries to supply voltage. Function is control by way of an on-off switch located on the power supply.

  • Publication number: 20080083342
Abstract: Detonators comprising a base charge of explosive material present a safety hazard for transportation and storage, especially when a plurality of detonators are packaged together. Disclosed herein are detonator protectors for the explosive ends of detonators that, at least in preferred forms, prevent ejection of shrapnel and/or explosive energy upon detonator actuation. Also disclosed are corresponding detonator assemblies, packages comprises protected detonators or detonator assemblies, and corresponding packaging methods.
