Abstract: Fabric Tube Propulsion Drive is a system for propelling medical devices through hollow body organs and within body cavities without causing trauma to the body surfaces upon which it operates. Fabric Tube Propulsion Drive consists of a hollow tube surrounded by a continuous loop of elastic fabric or mesh. Within the tube is a motor drive system that moves the fabric through the lumen of the tube such that the fabric on the outside of the tube can continuously interface with the body part through which the Fabric Tube Propulsion Drive is operating, and thereby drive the whole device through the body cavity or over the surface in question. Furthermore, the motor drive system can selectively apply tension to the fabric over specific areas within the tube to cause flexion of the whole tube.

  • Publication number: 20170106148
Abstract: The injection stick is a pole like drug delivery device that allows administration of injection medications from a distance. The design allows for an operator to maintain a safe distance away from a dangerous subject receiving injections. Unlike other injection systems, the injection stick features two design elements to enhance safety and prevent the device from being turned against it's operator by an assailant. The first is a continuously sliding mesh of nylon or other fabric that surrounds all parts of the device except the handle, which simply slides from the outside of the shaft to the inside of the shaft when the device is grabbed and pulled by anyone other than the operator. The second feature is variable flexibility of the shaft, which can be altered from flexible and bendable to stiff depending on the tension applied to the sliding fabric surrounding the shaft of the device.

  • Publication number: 20160026894
Abstract: Ultrasound Computed Tomography is a system of devices that reconstructs a series of 2 dimensional ultrasound images into a 3 dimensional computed tomographic model of an object by cataloguing ultrasound image frames according to the ultrasound probe's position in 3 dimensional space at the time of image capture. Capturing the position and orientation of an ultrasound probe at the time of image frame acquisition allows for appropriate placement of each 2 dimensional ultrasound image within a 3 dimensional computed tomographic workspace. Also subject of this patent is creation of a coherent 3 dimensional model of a body or body part through an algorithmic selection and weighting system to reconcile overlapping regions of ultrasound images captured from different positions. Additionally a system for acquisition of transmission based ultrasound images, made possible by positional cataloguing, is delineated.
