Patent number: 8474854Abstract: A foldable stroller has a frame assembly with a frame fold joint and is reconfigurable between an in-use configuration and a folded configuration. A child support structure is repositionable between a usable state on the frame assembly in the in-use configuration and an unusable state not suitable to support a child on the frame assembly. An interlock mechanism cooperates with the child support structure and is movable between a locked state preventing the frame assembly from being folded from the in-use configuration to the folded configuration and an unlocked state permitting the frame assembly to be folded. With the frame assembly in the in-use configuration and the child support structure on the frame assembly in the usable state, the interlock mechanism is retained in the locked state. The interlock mechanism is unlocked when the child support structure is moved to the unusable state.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2009Date of Patent: July 2, 2013Assignee: Graco Children's Products Inc.Inventors: Roy L. Dean, Stephen Ahnert, Robert Pike, Damaso A. Lamos, Daniel Newhard, Todd Grintz, Branden McCorkel

Patent number: 8128119Abstract: A stroller includes a frame having a frame leg and a frame joint at which the frame leg is coupled to the frame. The frame joint is configured to allow retraction of the frame leg to a folded position. A handle is attached to the frame at a pivot joint, the pivot joint being configured for rotation of the handle between first and second operational orientations. The pivot joint is further configured for rotation of the handle from the first or second operational orientations to a storage position aligned with the folded position of the frame leg. In some cases, a front frame leg and a rear frame leg are coupled to the frame joint, the frame joint being configured to allow the front frame leg and the rear frame leg to retract to respective folded positions in which the stroller is supported in an upright orientation.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2007Date of Patent: March 6, 2012Assignee: Graco Children's Products Inc.Inventors: Derek Saville, Daniel Newhard, Nico Michler, Christian Busse, Bianca Fleischer

Patent number: 7789402Abstract: A stroller includes a base frame assembly and a seat assembly supported by the base frame assembly. A seat leg extending from the seat assembly is slidably engaged with the base frame assembly for movement of the seat assembly relative to the base frame assembly from a first seating height level to a second seating height level. In some cases, a support post of the base frame assembly is oriented in a telescopic arrangement with the seat leg along a generally vertical axis. In some cases, one or more slider mechanisms slidably couple the seat assembly to the base frame assembly, where each slider mechanism has a lock to secure the seat assembly at either the first seating height level or the second seating height level.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2007Date of Patent: September 7, 2010Assignee: Graco Children's Products Inc.Inventors: Derek Saville, Daniel Newhard, Nico Michler, Christian Busse, Bianca Fleischer
