Publication number: 20250375982Abstract: A caster having a spring feature configured to compress along the stem of the caster when subject to load. The spring achieves maximum compression when subjected to a maximum specified load value. One or more casters may be used in tandem with a jackstand apparatus. When the jackstand is presented without any additional force, the combined spring force of all casters utilized is sufficient to support the weight of the jackstand without achieving maximum compression. When subject to a sufficiently large additional force, each of the springs will achieve maximum compression, and the jackstand apparatus will interact with the supporting terrain directly, resulting a direct transfer of additional load to the terrain through the jackstand apparatus. Some embodiments may comprise a distinct jackstand and cart configuration. Some embodiments may comprise an integrated configuration.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 5, 2024Publication date: December 11, 2025Inventor: Daniel Newkirk

Publication number: 20250196302Abstract: A wrench for automotive service, and in particular for service involving oil filters. The wrench comprises a torque head, torque handle, and a bracing member. The bracing member engages with the torque head to position the wrench with respect to a target body, such as an oil filter. The torque handle engages with the torque head to transfer torque from the torque handle to the torque head. The torque head is configured to transfer torque to the target body via grip surface. Additional features may provide additional functionality.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2023Publication date: June 19, 2025Inventors: Michael White, Robert Kochie, Daniel Newkirk
-
Publication number: 20250187165Abstract: A hammer having a handle and head, the head comprising a cavity encapsulating a slug. The slug is configured to move in at least one direction within the cavity upon impact of the hammer with a target, reducing the transfer of momentum into the handle of the hammer and thus reducing vibration of the hammer in a user's hand. This dampening of the vibration can improve user ergonomics by minimizing fatigue caused by vibrations during continued use of the hammer.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2023Publication date: June 12, 2025Inventor: Daniel Newkirk
-
Publication number: 20250136162Abstract: A service cart for an electric vehicle (EV) battery, comprising a lift assembly supporting a platform. The platform is configured to support the EV battery. The service cart comprises an electrically-driven hydraulic pump that is configured to extend and retract the lift assembly in order to raise and lower the platform. The service cart may comprise one or more electric wheels which may be driven by rotational force from a first electric motor, or controlled with respect to an adjustable directionality by a second electric motor.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 23, 2024Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: Daniel Newkirk, Antony Sankoorikal, Ian Ferguson, Gautam Vikas, Corday Peterson
