    Abstract: The embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a PGW (108) for handling a UEs (101) access to an EPC service via a non-3GPP access network (103). During a request for connecting the UE (101) to the non-3GPP access network (103), the PGW (108) receives identity information which indicates an identity of an AAA node (710) from a non-3GPP access gateway (705). The PGW (108) selects the AAA node (710) which was indicated in the received identity information. The PGW (108) transmits, to the selected AAA node (710), a request message for the UE (101). The request message is a request for authorization of the UE (101) to access the EPC service via the non-3GPP access network (103).

    Abstract: A method of determining in an IP multimedia subsystem, IMS, network which radio access type, RAT, should be used to route a terminating session directed towards a user equipment, UE. The HSS receives a terminating access domain selection, T-ADS, query from an application server, AS, of the IMS network, the T-ADS query relating to the terminating session and identifying the UE; and determines whether a packet data network gateway, PDN-GW, is registered for the UE. In the case where a PDN-GW is registered, the HSS sends a RAT request towards the PDN-GW, the RAT request identifying the UE and requesting a RAT used by the UE to connect to the IMS network. The PDN-GW determines the RAT and sends the result towards the HSS, which sends a T-ADS response to the AS indicating the RAT. In the case where a PDN-GW is not registered, the HSS sends a T-ADS response to the AS indicating that the RAT is a circuit switched RAT. Apparatus for implementing the method are also provided.

    Abstract: Method determines a configuration of capacitors in an output filter of a switched mode power supply (SMPS). Candidate configurations are generated, each associated with a respective cost function value calculated based on number of capacitors of each kind in the candidate configuration and cost assigned to each kind of capacitor. The candidate configurations are ordered based on their cost function values. A binary search through the ordered candidate configurations determines a capacitor configuration associated with a lowest cost function value to allow a defined load transient response requirement of the SMPS. Whether a candidate configuration allows the defined load transient response requirement of the SMPS is determined using a model of a SMPS having the candidate configuration of the output filter simulating deviation of output voltage of the SMPS in response to change in load current of the SMPS and determining whether the defined load transient response requirement is allowed.
