  • Patent number: 5676557
Abstract: Manufacture of electrical trunking containing, in a metal enclosure, a set of parallel electrical conductors supported at regular intervals on insulative contact blocks. A single sheet metal blank is bent and crimped to produce a tubular profile with joined edges 27, 28, the conductor assembly 31 is then slid into the tube and each support contact block 30 is centered in a respective branch opening 18 using a tool inserted through the opening. The contact block is clamped against the opening by an elastic expansion device.

  • Patent number: 5595498
Abstract: Connector for electrical trunking containing parallel conductors accommodated in an enclosure. The body of the connector is associated with a latch which can be locked manually and preferably released by use of a tool. The latch cooperates with a contact block accommodated in the enclosure in order to operate lugs which guide and/or lock the connector.

  • Patent number: 5594212
Abstract: A coupling device for prefabricated electrical trunking. An internal member fits inside enclosure sections of the trunking which are to be butt-jointed. The internal member has water drainage grooves on its outer surface near a mating plane of the butt-joint. An exterior member fits over the joints and its two halves are bolted together.

  • Patent number: 5144530
Abstract: A power distributor device is disclosed for electric installations, comprising, for housing a set of power bars, an insulating case formed preferably of several interlockable modules. A member, for example an end-piece in the form of a lyre is associated with a zone for fixing the case on a support allowing expansion between the case and the support. An upstream connection box may be assembled to the case and comprise a zone for fixing to the support.

  • Patent number: 5046172
Abstract: A power distribution device is disclosed for electric apparatus, comprising a set of power bars housed inside an insulating case mounted fixedly in the central cavity of a profiled rail and a removable support element having a flat bottom bordered by two parallel lateral flanges provided with a hooking device for removably fixing the support element on the rail. The bottom of the support plate carries the electric apparatus, as well as a connector pluggable on the set of bars and having guide cheeks permitting plugging/unplugging by a translational movement remaining substantially perpendicular to the plane of the set of bars.

  • Patent number: 5029789
Abstract: A top hat rail is disclosed for fixing snap-fit apparatus, formed by shaping in the form of an omega a metal strip of predetermined thickness and having a web and two flanges. The flanges of said rail are deformed towards their free ends so that the edge of the flanges has, for the apparatus to be snap-fitted, a useful fictitious thickness, this thickness being determined between two support zones situated on each side of the flange. The fictitious thickness is equal to the thickness of a standardized rail and substantially greater than the real thickness.

  • Patent number: 4849591
Abstract: Electromechanical protection cutting apparatus comprising a magnetic tripping device and an arc-breaking screen which may be interleaved between at least one fixed contact and one movable contact during an opening caused by the tripping device. The stop (24) associated with the casing (11) of the apparatus to receive the breaking screen (12) is deformable and so arranged as not to restore immediately to the screen the kinetic energy received therefrom.
