Abstract: The present invention provides a disposable container comprising a container portion including at least one surface having a reflective layer for insulating food contained therein. Also included is a disposable container comprising a container portion including an outside surface, an inside surface, and a removable reflective layer covering at least a portion of one of said surfaces. A disposable sleeve for insulating a container is provided and includes a reflective layer for insulating food within the container. A disposable liner for insulating a container is provided and includes a reflective layer for insulating food within the container. A disposable lid for insulating a container is also provided and includes a reflective layer for insulating food within the container. Finally, the present invention includes a method of maintaining a food temperature, including the step of reflecting heat energy off of a reflective layer to maintain the temperature of the food.
