  • Patent number: 11926213
Abstract: A communication system for a vehicle for a vehicle includes a display device having a screen disposed in a passenger compartment. The display device is in communication with a user interface. The system further includes an authentication system having at least one scanning apparatus configured to capture a biometric data. A communication circuit is configured to communicate with a remote server. A controller is configured to capture the biometric data of a first potential passenger with the at least one scanning apparatus and access a first passenger information comprising a first identification profile from the remote server via the communication circuit. The controller is further configured to authenticate the first potential passenger as at least one of a confirmed passenger and an operator of the vehicle based on the identification profile.

  • Publication number: 20230214085
Abstract: A feedback apparatus for a user identification system of a vehicle includes an indicator device configured to selectively activate a status icon and a plurality of directional segments disposed around the status icon. A controller is in communication with a scanning device configured to authenticate an object depicted in image data representing a field of view. The controller is configured to identify an alignment direction of the object within the field of view and activate one or more of the directional segments in response to the alignment direction. Additionally, the controller is configured to activate the status icon in response to the alignment direction indicating that the object is aligned in the field of view.

  • Publication number: 20230209011
Abstract: A vehicle system is disclosed. The system may comprise an imager, a location sensor, a controller, and a display. The imager may be operable to capture a first video having a plurality of frames with field of view exterior the vehicle. The location sensor may be operable to determine the vehicle's location. The controller may be operable to associate the location of the vehicle with a plurality of the plurality of frames where the location substantially corresponds to the vehicle's location when each respective frame was captured. Additionally, the controller may be further operable to store one or more video clips, each comprising a series of frames. The display may be operable to simultaneously show one of the video clips and a map of an area substantially encompassing all the locations of the vehicle associated with the first frames included in the shown video clip.

  • Publication number: 20200311845
Abstract: An inventory transport monitoring system for gathering usage information in a retail store includes a network of sensors and data collection hubs located within the retail store. A plurality of inventory stocking carts are outfitted with nodes for tracking the cart location within the store. The tracking node may track location data and patterns and uses a unique ID that broadcasts monitored data to understand when and where the node has been moved. The usage information is transmitted to the hub for collection and analyzing. The system can use the usage information collected from the individual stores to measure and compare successful stores to failing stores.
