  • Patent number: 5924599
Abstract: A dispenser for holding two or more cans of material adapted to create a froth, a caulking or like product. The holders of the cans contain separate attachments for engaging the containers and holding them in a position of use. This insures that the cans cannot be inserted the wrong way into the dispenser. In a preferred form, the dispenser includes two can holders, a manifold, a dispensing gun and a receiver for a disposable nozzle. The two can holder fittings are respectively male/female, and in another embodiment, left hand/right hand threads.

  • Patent number: 5887756
Abstract: A dispensing gun for fluent products such as viscous adhesives and sealants. The gun includes a removably mounted nozzle and fittings for attachment to a product source such as a can or a hose. A valve body has product inlet and outlet passages with flow being controlled therethrough by a valve that includes a nose portion seated in the valve body, and a rod that extends through the nose portion of the valve and seats on tapered surfaces inside the end of the nozzle. The valve contains a shrouded internal spring biasing the valve to a closed position. A trigger engages the yoke carrying the valve and the valving rod and moves the yoke so that the rod and valve move between open, closed and intermediate positions. In one preferred form, the valving rod may be adjusted between positions wherein more or less product is dispensed in response to full trigger movement.

  • Patent number: 5537474
Abstract: A method and apparatus for authenticating a roaming subscriber. In a preferred embodiment, a subscriber receives a challenge that is in a format of a local authentication protocol, and determines whether the local authentication protocol is the subscriber's home system authentication protocol. If it is not, the subscriber converts the challenge into a format (e.g., bit length) compatible with its home system authentication protocol, and processes the converted challenge with the subscriber's secret key and authentication algorithm into an authentication response. The authentication response is converted to be compatible with the local authentication protocol, and transmitted to a local system communication unit. The challenge and response is then forwarded to the subscriber's home system for similar conversion and processing, and subscriber's response is compared against a home system generated response.

  • Patent number: 5410602
Abstract: A method of secure key distribution in a communication system having a plurality of subscriber units and an infrastructure communication center is provided. A first subscriber unit sends a request to the infrastructure communication center for a secure communication link with a second subscriber unit. This request includes an encrypted session encryption key which was encrypted with a first subscriber registration key. The infrastructure communication center decrypts the encrypted session encryption key with the first subscriber registration key. Subsequently, the infrastructure communication center re-encrypts the session encryption key with a second subscriber registration key. This re-encrypted session encryption key is sent to the second subscriber unit. In an alternative method, the first subscriber unit and the infrastructure communication center a priori know a session key.

  • Patent number: 5265761
Abstract: A hand held dispenser for chemical foam compositions having enhanced service life and being capable of delivering higher outputs of foam products is provided. In accordance with the invention, a dispenser cartridge is mounted in sealed movable relation to a cartridge carrier. Reliable face to face compressible seals are employed to accomplish primary porting to pressurized sources of chemical components. The dispenser cartridge does not rely on a sealed interface between a cylindrical valving rod and a dimensionally unstable TEFLON.RTM. bushing for porting which provides improved sealing performance. Multiple porting from two or more pressurized sources of chemical components is also facilitated by the sliding seal feature.
