  • Patent number: 10132083
Abstract: Systems for water collection and recycling are described herein. A downspout having a downspout groove is vertically disposed on an exterior wall. Electrical wiring that is operatively connected to at least one electrical power generator is disposed along the downspout groove. The downspout and electrical power generator are supported by downspout brackets. The downspout is fluidly connected to a gutter and an outdoor water storage tank for collecting rain water. A water pump moves grey water from a shower tub drainage pipeline to a water path switch valve. A control switch directs the water path switch valve to divert the grey water to a toilet storage tank, an outdoor water storage tank, or a washing machine water tank.

  • Patent number: 9803879
Abstract: A louver system for controlling airflow in a duct from a forced air heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system with a housing and a louver located on a mounting fascia. The system having a longitudinal slat located in the perimeter wall that is movable between the fully open position and the fully closed position via a slat positioning assembly. The slat positioning assembly is powered by a mainspring assembly. A winding assembly is operatively coupled to the mainspring assembly which is wound by a motor or a hand crank. A local control system having a microprocessor, a transmitter, and a receiver sends a positioning signal to the slat positioning assembly that rotates the slat to a specified position via power from the mainspring assembly.

  • Patent number: 8760874
Abstract: An electrical control system for fixtures, devices and appliances that safety isolates a power source using the features of the safety block, and consolidates multiple control points to remotely activate a combination of fixtures, devices and appliances using the features of the control module, thereby promoting safety and facilitating energy conservation. The system has a safety block where a safety-block AC power supply connector on the rear attaches to a household alternating current (AC) power supply. The safety-block AC power supply connector passes through a cavity to the safety-block AC power transfer connector located on the front. The system also has a control module with a control-module user interface on the front. A control-module AC power connector connects to the control-module user interface and passes through the control-module cavity to connect to the safety-block AC power transfer connector located on the front of the safety block.

  • Patent number: 8742938
Abstract: A smoke detector device featuring a base for mounting to a ceiling, wall, or fixture. The base has three grooves disposed in its outer surface. Rings can wrap around each groove on the base. Each ring has at least two modules with an inner chamber and a door, wherein the inner chamber of each module can hold an item. The base can move between an expanded position wherein the three grooves are exposed and a collapsed position wherein only one groove is exposed. Flanges and set screws can secure the base in the expanded position.

  • Publication number: 20110053487
Abstract: A vent cover and louver assembly includes a housing with a perimeter wall having a first edge and a second edge each defining an opening through which air may be passed through an air passageway of the perimeter wall. Each of a plurality of slats is rotatably mounted to the perimeter wall and traverses the air passageway. The slats are positionable in a closed position or in an open position. A motor is mechanically coupled to each of the slats to move the slats to the closed position or to the open position. A rechargeable battery is electrically coupled to the motor. An electricity producing apparatus is mounted on the housing and is electrically coupled to the battery. The electricity producing apparatus is actuated by air moving through the housing to produce electricity. An interface is in communication with the motor to allow a user to actuate the motor.
