  • Patent number: 11938271
Abstract: An endotracheal tube holder device is provided for securely holding an endotracheal tube to a patient during intubation. The tube holder device includes a support rail placed above a lip of a patient. An auxiliary clip is coupled to the support rail and slidably movable along the length of the support rail for holding an accessory device relative to the patient's face. The auxiliary clip includes both a horizontal accessory holder and a vertical accessory holder to releasably retain the accessory device horizontally and vertically, respectively. A tube fastener is coupled to the support rail and includes a tube holder base, an adjustment clip coupled to the tube bolder base for laterally repositioning the tube holder base along the support rail, and a securement tie. The securement tie may be wrapped around a portion of the endotracheal tube to secure the tube to the tube holder base.

  • Patent number: 11906557
Abstract: A method includes obtaining electrical measurements of an input signal of a power system. The electrical measurements are obtained at a sampling frequency and the input signal is indicative of an operating frequency of the power system. The method includes generating an intermediate signal from the input signal. The intermediate signal has a direct current (DC) component indicative of a magnitude and a phase of the input signal. The method includes filtering the intermediate signal using an adjustable length filter to obtain the magnitude and the phase of the input signal. The length of the adjustable length filter varies based at least in part on a period measurement of the power system.

  • Publication number: 20220062566
Abstract: A nebulizer is provided to atomize a liquid medication for rapid delivery of an aerosol spray to a user via inhalation. The nebulizer includes a jar having a compressed gas passage. A jet cooperates with the jar and has a jet orifice through which the liquid medication and the compressed gas are discharged to form an aerosol flow. The cap is connected to the jar to define an inner chamber. The cap includes an entrainment port for ambient room air, and a chimney in fluid communication with the entrainment port and the inner chamber. A deflector base having an impingement member is located adjacent to the entrainment chimney and is spaced below an opening thereof by a predetermined distance to provide a flow of the ambient room air to be entrained in the aerosol flow in order to enhance nebulization speed while maintaining a desired aerosol particle size.

  • Publication number: 20220054787
Abstract: A respiratory filter and condensate management apparatus is provided for use in a breathing circuit during patient respiration. The apparatus includes a filter housing having an air inlet port and an air outlet port. A filter member is provided within the filter housing and located in an expiratory air flow path. A collection jar is removably attached to the filter housing and has a liquid reservoir to collect liquid formed by condensation in the flow of expiratory air within the filter housing when the collection jar is attached to the filter housing. A valve assembly moves to an open position when the filter housing is attached to the collection jar to allow drainage of the liquid from the filter housing. The valve assembly moves to a closed position when the filter housing is detached from the collection jar to prevent drainage of the liquid from the filter housing.

  • Publication number: 20210213233
Abstract: A moisture removal apparatus for a breathing circuit includes a breathing gas conduit for receiving a flow of breathing gas having a first humidity level. A dry gas conduit is provided adjacent to at least a portion of the breathing gas conduit for receiving a flow of dry gas having a second humidity level lower than the first humidity level. A heating element extends from an upstream end of the breathing gas conduit to a downstream end of the breathing gas conduit. The heating element provides heat to the flow of breathing gas such that the breathing gas at the downstream end is heated to a higher temperature than the breathing gas at the upstream end. A moisture transmission pathway enables transfer of moisture from the breathing gas to the dry gas based on the humidity differential.

  • Patent number: 7918389
Abstract: A system and method is provided for tracking unfinished ceramic structures moved by a conveyor system through manufacturing loops which preserves both identification and manufacturing information during manufacture, and in particular during mark-obliterating steps. The method includes loading the marked, unfinished ceramic structure at a selected position on the conveyor system; relaying the identification mark and the selected position of the unfinished ceramic structure on the conveyor system; conveying the unfinished ceramic structure through a mark-obliterating manufacturing step, and then identifying the ceramic structure relaying and processing information relating to its position on the conveyor system. The ceramic structure is then re-marked with a second mark after completing all mark-obliterating steps of manufacturing, such as firing and contouring.

  • Publication number: 20080283588
Abstract: A system and method is provided for virtually tracking unfinished ceramic structures moved by a conveyor system through a plurality of manufacturing loops which reliably and accurately preserves both identification and manufacturing information during all steps of manufacture, and in particular during mark-obliterating steps such as firing or contouring. The method includes the steps of loading the marked, unfinished ceramic structure at a selected position on the conveyor system; relaying both the information in the identification mark and the selected position of the unfinished ceramic structure on the conveyor system; conveying the unfinished ceramic structure through at least one mark-obliterating manufacturing step, and identifying the ceramic structure after completion of the mark-obliterating step by relaying and processing information relating to its position on the conveyor system.
