    Abstract: A house wrap film product includes a laminated poly film with a first poly film ply and a second poly film ply and micropuncture formed in the laminated poly film to allow vapor transmission from a first side of the laminated poly film to a second side of the laminated poly film. Each of the poly plies is formed of a spiral cut film having a first ply with a first orientation and a second ply having a second orientation, the first orientation being at an angle with respect to an edge of said film and said second orientation being at an angle with respect to an edge of said film, said first ply and said second ply being laminated together cross oriented such that said first orientation extends in a different direction from said second orientation. The micropuncture provides a deformed region of said film, surrounding said hole. A method is provided for forming the house wrap product.

    Abstract: This invention relates to electric fuses having tubular casings having a high bursting strength and to the method and materials by which these casings are made. Such tubular material has also other applications than casings for electric fuses. Tubular structures made in accordance with U.S. Pat. No. 3,979,709 of which this is a division thereof have a plurality of plies which may include strips of non-woven, non-uniformly oriented glass fiber mat, composite strips of woven glass fiber cloth and non-woven glass fiber mat and glass fiber rovings. The plurality of strips are self overlapping and their overlaps are angularly displaced relative to one another. The tubular structure further includes a synthetic thermosetting resin integrating the plurality of strips into a multi-ply laminate.This invention relates to a process of manufacturing tubular structures of the above referred-to kind by pultrusion.

    Abstract: An electric fuse has a casing of synthetic-resin-glass-cloth laminate which includes but three re-inforcement plies, namely an outermost ply of woven glass fiber cloth forming an overlap extending in a direction longitudinally of said casing, and innermost ply formed by spaced rovings of glass fibers extending in a direction longitudinally of said casing, and an intermediate ply formed by a mat of substantially non-uniformly oriented glass fibers, said overlap of said outermost ply and said rovings penetrating into said intermediate ply to such an extent that the outer surface and the inner surface of said casing are substantially smooth substantially cylindrical coaxial surfaces.

    Abstract: An electric fuse comprises a fusible element, arc-quenching means surrounding said fusible element, a casing of synthetic-resin-glass-cloth laminate housing said fusible element and said arc-quenching means, and a pair of terminal elements arranged at the ends of said casing and conductively interconnected by said fusible element. Said casing includes a plurality of plies, at least an outermost ply and an innermost ply, both formed by woven glass fiber fabric and at least one intermediate ply formed by a glass fiber mat having non-uniformly oriented fibers. The outermost ply and the innermost ply each form an overlap extending substantially in a direction longitudinally of said casing. Both overlaps are angularly displaced. The casing further includes a thermosetting resin integrating said outermost ply, said innermost ply and said intermediate ply into a laminate.
