  • Patent number: 5050757
Abstract: A two container system wherein a smaller container is completely nested within a larger container and is frictionally held therein with only one side of the container being exposed. A frictional fitment is provided by a raised bottom portion of the compartment which engages the smaller container for a force fitment at the top thereof. The larger container is preferably provided with recesses in the side wall to provide access to the smaller container.

  • Patent number: 4942977
Abstract: A breakaway tamper evident cover for a container such as a spray can is provided with a cap portion and a locking ring portion, the two portions being connected by a frangible tear line. The frangible tear line is ruptured by striking a sharp axial blow to the top of the cap, driving the cap downward into the closure of the container and away from the locking ring. The rim of the cap is provided with an outwardly extending flange which snaps under the interior portion of the container's closure bead to secure the cap to the container while the locking ring remains in place.

  • Patent number: 4821913
Abstract: A tamper evident closure for a can such as a spray can is provided with a frangible pull-tab which extends upwardly into the cover from the base and has an outwardly extending grip member which extends along the pull-tab for a sufficient distance to permit initial outward pulling and tearing of the pull-tab along the frangible lines as the grip member is pivoted upwardly. The pull-tab is tapered at its upper end to facilitate removal.

  • Patent number: 4744483
Abstract: A tamper evidencing covering for containers, comprising a hollow container cover and a frangible ring shaped to fit about the cover. The cover includes an external annular retention recess for accommodating the frangible ring, and an annular internal locking bead for affixing the cover to a container. The bead may be segmented, or one or more vertical slots may be provided in the retention recess to relieve the gripping strength of the cover when on a container.

  • Patent number: 4363772
Abstract: A method and apparatus for virtually eliminating the web-like "jetting" lines on finished injection molded products by utilizing an expandable cavity which is initially set at a reduced or minimum size to intercept resin flow and disperse it as it enters the cavity, the resin being maintained under pressure within the partially filled cavity, wherein the cavity expands under pressure of the resin flowing therein until the finished size of the end-product is attained.

  • Patent number: 4326649
Abstract: A dust cover for an aerosol container includes a cup-shaped body placed over the dispensing valve of the container in an inverted position. To secure the cover, one or more fixed lugs project inwardly from the bottom edge of the body to engage a rim on the container. The cover is further secured by a release lug. A tab attaches the assurance lug to the body, the tab being permanently deformable to cause the assurance lug to be disengaged from the rim. The cover can then be removed by disengaging the release lug which is moved from its normal position by an actuator.
