  • Patent number: 11963727
Abstract: Mitigating a user interface display function of a modular energy system includes receiving formatted video data at a video data converter circuit, providing differential video signaling data to the display from the video data converter circuit, providing a copy of the differential video signaling data to a processor, and determining that the differential video signaling data is changing over time. Mitigating erroneous outputs from an isolated interface includes receiving a state of a first switch of a first footswitch coupled to a first comparator and a reference voltage coupled to the first comparator, receiving the state of the first switch coupled to the first duplicate comparator and the reference voltage coupled to the first duplicate comparator, comparing the output of the first comparator with the output of the first duplicate comparator, and determining activation or deactivation of a surgical instrument coupled to the controller based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20230358318
Abstract: A valve assembly includes a valve body defining a valve passage and a valve seat disposed within the valve body. The valve assembly also includes a valve actuator moveable between a closed position in which the valve actuator is sealed against the valve seat to close the valve passage and an open position in which the valve actuator is spaced apart from the valve seat to open the valve passage. The valve assembly includes a valve seat retainer disposed within the valve body in contact with the valve seat. The valve seat retainer is configured to impart both an axial support force and a lateral support force on the valve seat to prevent extrusion of the valve seat when the valve actuator is sealed against the valve seat in the closed position.

  • Publication number: 20230210204
Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to a composite textile having a substrate layer (e.g., knit, woven, nonwoven, etc.) and a film layer that is secured or bonded to the substrate layer. A plurality of slits extend through both the substrate layer and the film layer. The film layer is formed of a material that dimensionally transforms when exposed to an external stimulus such as moisture. When exposed to moisture the film layer swells, which causes flaps formed by the plurality of slits to extend in a z-direction away from the film layer. The opening of the flaps creates through-passages that extend through the thickness of the composite structure.

  • Publication number: 20230157392
Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to an article of apparel having a vent opening formed by overlapping the edges of a first panel and a second panel. A plurality of discrete overlay film structures are applied to the second panel adjacent to the vent opening. When the article of apparel is exposed to an external stimulus, the film structures undergo a reversible increase in dimension in at least the z-direction which cause the second panel of material to undergo a reversible decrease in dimension in the direction of a longitudinal axis of the vent opening thereby causing the vent opening to dynamically transition from a closed state to an open state.

  • Publication number: 20230065323
Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to a breast-supporting structure that provides adjustable fit and support to a wearer's breasts. The breast-supporting structure includes an adjustment mechanism that is slidably coupled to a shoulder strap of the bra. A first end and a second end of a continuous cable structure are fixedly secured to the adjustment mechanism. An intervening portion of the continuous cable structure repeatedly extends between the adjustment mechanism and a plurality of spaced-apart pulley structures located at a lower portion of the breast-supporting structure to form a plurality of spaced-apart cable segments. The cable segments slidably engage with both the adjustment mechanism and the pulley structures such that the cable segments are freely movable with respect to the adjustment mechanism and the pulley structures.

The strap system includes a pair of straps that are coupled together in a face sharing relationship by a coupling mechanism. One of the straps in the pair of straps has greater stretch properties than the other strap. • Publication number: 20220347717
Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to systems, methods, and articles for producing a patterned film and using the patterned film to form a pattern of discrete overlay film structures on a substrate material. A uniform thickness of a film material is deposited on to a first surface of a run of carrier sheets, where each carrier sheet includes one or more holes extending there through. A first carrier sheet is extracted from the run of carrier sheets, and a second surface of the carrier sheet is positioned on a substrate material. Heat and/or pressure is applied to the film material to cause the film material to transfer to the substrate material through the one or more holes in the carrier sheet forming a pattern of discrete overlay film structures on the substrate material. The carrier sheet along with remaining portions of the film material is removed from the substrate material.

  • Patent number: 9885421
Abstract: A high cycle and speed valve (10) includes a body (12), a valve seat (20) fixed within the body, and a diaphragm (24) that moves between a closed position in which the diaphragm is forced against the valve seat, and an open position in which the diaphragm is released from the valve seat. The valve seat includes a static section (40) that is secured within the body, and a dynamic section (42) that is compressed by the diaphragm when the diaphragm is in the closed position. The static section includes a radially extending flange (44) that is received in a recess (46) formed in the body to secure the static section in the body. The valve includes a body cavity relief space (52) into which the dynamic section compresses in the closed position. The valve further includes a cap (26) that has a dry film lubricant layer (58) that serves as a dry lubricant between the cap and the diaphragm.

  • Patent number: 9639093
Abstract: A valve poppet (54) is provided for use in a regulator valve assembly (200) for regulating the pressure of a flowing gas through a gas flow pressure regulator (300). The valve poppet is includes a valve disc (54) having a flexible portion (60a) so as to permit upward and downward movement of a valve stem (52) in an axial direction. The valve disc may have an edge portion (60b) that provides a preloading force to self-align the valve disc within a valve seat (70), and axially constrain the motion of valve stem. The valve stem (52) may extend perpendicularly relative to the valve disc from a sealing portion (58). The movement of the valve stem is axially constrained and results in upward and downward movement of the flexible portion when the valve is opened and closed. The flexible and end portions of the valve disc may be formed of a plurality of spiral arms for self-aligning and axially constraining the valve disc.

  • Patent number: 8944106
Abstract: A gas supply system that is easily assembled and/or installed and includes an initially flexible clamping system that allows for the gas supply system to adapt to the gas components. As the assembly of the gas components is complete, the clamping system becomes rigid thereby securing the gas components to a support rail. The slide lock gas delivery system allows a gas system component bottom surface to establish the sealing plane for the inlet and outlet seals independently. The lateral spacing for the gas component mounting holes float during assembly to reduce the opportunity for misalignment.

  • Patent number: 8528598
Abstract: A flow splitter (10) that is uniquely characterized by the use of two diaphragm valves in a single valve body that are arranged in opposition to one another. The diaphragm valves are coupled together for common movement by a coupler, such that the flow rate through respective outlets is a function of the position of either diaphragm valve. That is, the position of one valve is a function of the position of the other valve, and vice versa. With this construction a single actuator can control the ratio of total flow that will be delivered to each of two outlet ports. Moreover, such construction eliminates the need for thermal or pressure sensors and thus the drawbacks associated therewith.
