  • Patent number: 11977919
Abstract: Techniques for secure and efficient interfacing with a cloud computing service are described. In an embodiment, a cloud computing management service is programmed or configured to communicate with a cloud computing service. The cloud computing management service can be accessed by software engineers that are looking to deploy a software instance to a computing device of the cloud computing service. Thus, the cloud computing management service acts as an intermediary layer in front of the cloud computing service. In an embodiment, the cloud computing management service may store one or more frequently-used system parameters for deployment of software instances. The parameters conform to company's security protocols, compliance protocols, and/or other standards.

  • Publication number: 20230300192
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to mapping content delivery. A client device provides, to a map management server, a request for a map of a geographic region. The client device receives, from the map management server, an identification of tiles for the map. The client device provides, to a first tile server, a request for the tiles for the map. In response to receiving the tiles from the first tile server: the client device displays the map of the geographic region based on the tiles.

  • Publication number: 20170329569
Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for displaying an update to a geographical area are presented. An indication of an update to geographical area is received. The geographical area is displayed on one or more devices. Moreover, the geographical area includes an artifact that corresponds to geospatial data. The update to the geographical area is generated based on the received indication of the update. Data that causes display of the generated update to the geographical area is transmitted to each of the one or more devices.

  • Publication number: 20050018878
Abstract: Methods and system for automatic identification of repeating patterns of slanted stripe features (marks) on an item. In the initial step of the method of this invention embodiment of the method of this invention a digital image of the item is acquired. Pixel data is then obtained for pixels in the digital image. Line segment data is extracted from the pixel data. A set of collinear line segments is identified from the line segment data. A set of lines intersecting members of the set of collinear line segments is identified from the line segment data. The set of intersecting lines and the set of collinear lines identify a set of marks. In one embodiment of the method of this invention, in identifying the set of collinear line segments, the method also includes constructing a histogram displaying a number of line segments in predetermined angular ranges. Systems of this invention implement the method.

  • Patent number: 6392563
Abstract: A traffic light backup system for use with a traffic light is described. The traffic light backup system includes an auxiliary light associated with at least one of the enclosure housing the traffic lights and rechargeable batteries associated with the auxiliary light. A power failure is detected by monitoring the voltage across the bulbs of the traffic lights and also preferably by monitoring the current in the common, neutral lead. When a power failure has been detected, the traffic light backup system engages and the auxiliary light is powered by the rechargeable batteries, preferably in a flashing fashion. In a preferred embodiment, the auxiliary light consists of a plurality of LEDs arranged in an octagonal manner. The LEDs have a high luminosity and lower power consumption, which makes them well suited for use even in broad daylight.

  • Patent number: 4647067
Abstract: The suspension includes a pair of arms independently pivoted to opposite sides of the vehicle chassis at one end for up-and-down movement, each arm rotatably carrying a ground-engaging wheel of the vehicle at its free end. Each arm extends in the same direction from its pivoted end, longitudinally of the chassis. A compression spring contacts and upwardly extends from each arm at a distance from its pivoted end, and a load transfer lever is fulcrumed at its center to the chassis; extends transversely of the latter; and its outer ends overly and contact the top of the respective compression springs. The suspension system is applicable to three- and four-wheel motor vehicles. Preferably, the arms are hollow and serve to house part of a transformation mechanism to the wheels, the latter being the driving wheels.
