  • Patent number: 11971556
Abstract: Optical systems may include MEMS mirrors having elliptical mirror plates. A laser scanning system may include a MEMS mirror that scans an incident light beam along a single scanning axis. The MEMS mirror may include an elliptical mirror plate having a semi-major axis that is aligned parallel or perpendicular to the rotational axis of the elliptical mirror plate. The incident light beam may have an elliptical cross-section, such that the incident light beam completely or substantially overlaps the reflecting surface of the elliptical mirror plate. After being reflected by the elliptical mirror plate, the light beam may be circularized via one or more shaping lenses disposed in the optical path of the reflected light beam, prior to projection of the light beam.

  • Publication number: 20240135173
Abstract: In various examples, a deep neural network (DNN) is trained to accurately predict, in deployment, distances to objects and obstacles using image data alone. The DNN may be trained with ground truth data that is generated and encoded using sensor data from any number of depth predicting sensors, such as, without limitation, RADAR sensors, LIDAR sensors, and/or SONAR sensors. Camera adaptation algorithms may be used in various embodiments to adapt the DNN for use with image data generated by cameras with varying parameters—such as varying fields of view. In some examples, a post-processing safety bounds operation may be executed on the predictions of the DNN to ensure that the predictions fall within a safety-permissible range.

  • Patent number: 11949103
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an anode electrode active material for a secondary battery containing nickel cobalt molybdenum oxide, an anode electrode for a secondary battery including the same, a secondary battery including the anode electrode for a secondary battery, and a method for manufacturing the same. The novel anode electrode material for a sodium secondary battery containing nickel cobalt molybdenum oxide according to the present disclosure allows intercalation/deintercalation reaction of sodium ion during charge/discharge and does not undergo significant volume change during the intercalation reaction because structure is maintained stably during repeated charge/discharge. As a result, electrode damage and electric short circuit are decreased and, thus, improved electrochemical characteristics can be achieved in long-life and high-rate capability.

  • Patent number: 11620048
Abstract: A computing device is described that displays a set of graphical elements in a status bar of a graphical user interface. Each graphical element corresponds to a different pending notification. While expanding a notification shade from the status bar, the device displays the graphical elements within an area of the notification shade that is adjacent to a leading edge of the notification shade. Responsive to determining that a particular notification message is newly visible, the device removes, a particular graphical element that corresponds to the particular notification message, and displays the particular graphical element within the particular notification message. In this manner, interaction with the notification area may be more efficient, as during a process of expanding or contracting this area, the user may be informed the underlying state of the set of pending notifications as a whole.
