  • Publication number: 20230365377
Abstract: A reel for storing a cable coil includes first and second facing flanges. First, second and third cylindrical rods define a hub and have first ends attached to the first flange and opposite, second ends extending through holes formed in the second flange. A guidepost has a first end attached to the first flange and a second end passing through an opening in the second flange. A lock set allows a distance between the first and second flanges to be selected. Attachment positions of the first ends of the cylindrical rods to the first flange are manually or automatically adjustable to change a diameter of the hub. Bushings within end openings of the guidepost control the rotation payout speed of the reel, and a parking park feature is provided at the second end of the guidepost to block rotation of the reel.

  • Patent number: 7801880
Abstract: A system facilitates the search engine to search for pieces of information in various databases and application documents without the need to know the specific protocols to communicate with the various databases and application documents, such as Microsoft Excel documents. Despite the multitude of possible protocols which a crawler would have to use to connect to the databases, the system includes a unifying application programming interface to unify the way to access pieces of information in the databases and application documents.

  • Publication number: 20090164577
Abstract: A method of providing electronic content to an electronic device by determining that an electronic device meets a proximity threshold with respect to a location. Electronic content is selected, and information is dynamically inserted or updated in the selected content based upon the location. Or, electronic content is dynamically generated based on location. The electronic content is then transmitted to the electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20090106089
Abstract: A method of providing electronic content to an electronic device by determining that an electronic device meets a proximity threshold with respect to a location. Electronic content is selected based upon periodically changing information about the location or based on one or more probable demographics of people present at the location determined by the periodically changing information about the location. The selected electronic content is then transmitted to the electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20080271120
Abstract: A method of dynamic pre-authentication includes receiving at an access point from one or more content platforms a white-list of internet domains that are to be deemed valid for serving content to a non-authenticated user. Updates to the white list are dynamically received from the one or more content platforms which are each responsible for a particular promotional campaign that features specific content. A request is received at the access point from a non-authenticated user for certain of the specific content, which is allowed such that a domain of the content platform responsible for the certain specific content is accessed by the user.

  • Publication number: 20060032660
Abstract: A cable includes a plurality of twisted wire pairs housed inside a jacket. A plurality of protrusions extend away from a circumferential surface of the jacket. The protrusion may extend radially outward from an outer circumferential surface of the jacket, or may extend radially inward from an inner circumferential surface of the jacket toward a center of the cable. The protrusions ensure that the twisted wire pairs of one cable are well-distanced from the twisted wire pairs of another cable when two cables are placed adjacent to one another and improve the dielectric properties of the jacket. The cable can be designed to meet all of telecommunication cabling industry regulations and standards, and demonstrates improved alien crosstalk and attenuation characteristics even at high data bit rates.
