  • Patent number: 6570460
Abstract: A voltage-controlled oscillator including a dielectric resonator having a ferroelectric ceramic material placed between two metallized surfaces and biased by an electric field created by a difference in potential applied between the two surfaces as a function of a tuning frequency of the oscillator. Also included is a load impedance, and an active amplifier element coupled between the dielectric resonator and the load impedance. Further, the ceramic material is formed by metal oxides of the family: Bax;Sr(1-x) Ti(1-y)(A)y O3 (1) in which: A is a constituent configured to reduce dielectric losses of the material, and −0.4≲×≲0.9−0.001≲y≲0.2.

  • Patent number: 6545548
Abstract: The multiple fractional division frequency synthesizer includes a frequency generator, a voltage-controlled oscillator, a programmable variable N-divider, a phase comparator, an integration and filter circuit, a time window generator, a weighted current source, a phase accumulator, and a charge-pump circuit including plural transistors. The current source is connected to the charge-pump circuit to directly switch currents over to the emitter of one or more of the plural transistors of the charge-pump circuit.

Abstract: The multiple fractional division frequency synthesizer comprises a frequency generator, a voltage-controlled oscillator, a programmable variable N-divider, a phase comparator, an integration and filter circuit, a time window generator, a weighted current source, a phase accumulator, a charge-pump circuit comprising several transistors. The current source is connected to the charge-pump circuit so as to directly switch the currents over to the emitter of one or more transistors of the charge-pump circuit.

  • Patent number: 5752175
Abstract: The device includes a first frequency synthesizer loop with fractional division to a apply a first wide frequency band transposition signal to an input of the first mixing stage of the receiver, a second phase-lock frequency synthesizer loop to apply a second narrow frequency band transposition signal to an input of the second mixer stage of the receiver and a common frequency source coupled to the first loop and to the second loop for the application, to their reference inputs, of a frequency reference signal. Application to wideband (20 MHz to GHz) V/UHF receivers.
