Abstract: Novel radioactive steroids labelled with tritium of the formula ##STR1## wherein .sup.3 H is tritium and R and R.sub.1 are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms and acyl of an organic carboxylic acid of 1 to 10 carbon atoms useful for revealing receptors of glucocorticoids and in determining the number of fixation sites of glucocorticoids and novel intermediates.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for the transfer of pane objects such as glass comprises a conveyor along which the pane is accelerated past the downstream end of the conveyor. As the pane leaves the conveyor, it is received by a device which is aligned substantially parallel to the trajectory of the path of the pane. The device receives the pane, and transfers it to the next work station.

Abstract: A device and process for transferring glass panes for bending comprise the raising of glass panes with a gaseous flow until they meet with an upper conveyor, maintaining contact with that conveyor and simultaneously shifting them along that conveyor, then bringing them down anew on a bending form upon which they subside.

Abstract: A device for clearing residues of pulverulent or particulate product from a belt conveyor includes a vibrating roller freely rotatably mounted between an upper carrier run and a lower return run of said conveyor belt and biased into engagement with the inner side of the return run, the vibrating roller being sealed against ingress of dust and other foreign matter and enclosing a vibration generator motor. In such a device the vibration generator motor is protected from the effects of dust and climatic variations and is of compact form. The vibrating roller is resiliently supported by coil springs which thrust the roller against the inside face of the return run of the conveyor belt to ensure that contact is maintained between the vibrating roller and the return run of the conveyor belt even when the conveyor belt is circulating at a high linear speed.

Abstract: Steroids of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, tetrahydropyranyl, trityl and trimethylsilyl, R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, acryl of an alkanoic acid of 1 to 5 carbon atoms and tetrahyropyranyl and the wavy line indicates that the OR.sub.1 group may be in either position about the carbon atom and a process and intermediates for their preparation which compounds are useful as intermediates to form novel tritium compounds of the formula ##STR2## wherein R and R.sub.1 have the above definition which are useful as intermediates for the production of (6,7-H.sup.3) 17.alpha.,21-dimethyl-19-nor-.DELTA..sup.4,9 -pregnadiene-3,20-dione.

Abstract: Novel 17-spirosultines of steroids and the corresponding .gamma.-hydroxy acids of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, A is hydrogen and B is hydrogen or hydroxyl of .beta.configuration or A and B together form a double bond, X and Y together form the group ##STR2## or X is --OH and Y is ##STR3## and M is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, --NH.sub.4 and an alkali metal having a remarkable progestomimetic and antialdosteronic activity and a novel process for their preparation and novel intermediates.
