Abstract: The present invention relates to artificial eyelashes and, more particularly, to a system and method for attaching, the artificial eyelashes to a tape strip. The system includes an elongated strip having an edge that runs along a length of the elongated strip. A plurality of artificial eyelashes are attached along the length of the elongated strip, each of the artificial eyelashes having a lash end, with the artificial eyelashes attached with the strip such that the lash ends are not flush with the edge of the elongated strip.

The method for applying the eyelash extensions comprises acts of fastening the user's eyelashes against the user's face and attaching multiple layers of eyelash extensions (the proximal end) to the user's eyelashes. Each of the multiple layers is applied one layer at a time, thereby providing a user with eyelashes having eyelash extensions attached thereto.

Abstract: A branched eyelash extension is described. In one aspect, the eyelash extension is a vertically branched/stacked eyelash extension that includes a first filament having both a first proximal end and a first distal end and a second filament having both a second proximal end and a second distal end. The proximal end of the second filament is attached on top of or below the proximal end of the first filament, such that they are collectively a vertically branched/stacked eyelash extension. In another aspect, the eyelash extension includes branches in a side-by-side configuration. In this aspect, the proximal end of the second filament is attached to the side of the proximal end of the first filament, such that they are collectively a branched eyelash extension in a side-by-side configuration.

Abstract: Described is a method for grouping eyelashes and applying eyelash extensions based on the eyelash groupings. The method includes an act of forming an eyelash group, the eyelash-group including a plurality of actual eyelashes that are adhered together to form the eyelash group. An eyelash is separated from the eyelash group using tweezers or another similar item. Thereafter, an eyelash extension is adhered to the eyelash that is separated from the eyelash group, thereby providing a user with an eyelash group and an eyelash extension applied to an actual eyelash. The process can be repeated for any desired amount of remaining ungrouped eyelashes.

Abstract: A method for multi-layered eyelash painting is described. The method is directed to fastening a user's eyelashes against the user's face and then painting one layer of eyelashes at a time in a multi-layered approach.
