  • Publication number: 20200346297
Abstract: In order to achieve a reliable constant contact in a welding torch with a contact sleeve with a wire forming unit and to reduce the frictional forces for the wire forming process three ball bearing-mounted rollers (4a, 4b, 4c) are arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction (x) of the welding torch (10) in the wire forming unit (1), whereas the central roller (4b), when viewed in the longitudinal direction (x), is offset in the wire forming unit (1) relative to the two outer rollers (4a, 4c), when viewed in the longitudinal direction (x), by a transverse offset (V) in a transverse direction (y) transverse to the longitudinal direction (x) in order to form a zig-zag-shaped path for the welding wire (3) through the wire forming unit (1), wherein the axial distance (A) between the two outer rollers (4a, 4c) when viewed in the longitudinal direction (x) is maximally 35 mm, preferably maximally 30 mm, more preferably maximally 20 mm.

  • Patent number: 9636767
Abstract: A plug part for detachably connecting a torch neck of a gas-cooled welding torch to a socket part disposed on a hose package includes a cylindrical pipe element with a flange and with an axially extending channel for a welding wire and for a protective gas and includes a union nut which is rotatably disposed on the pipe element and which includes an inner thread for connection to a corresponding outer thread on the socket part. To produce an optimal connection between the torch neck and the hose package, a bevel is disposed on the flange of the pipe element of the plug part, and the end piece of the socket part has at least one axial slot.

  • Patent number: 9533369
Abstract: The invention relates to a plug part (21) for detachable connecting a torch neck (19) of a water-cooled welding torch (7) to a socket part (34) arranged on a hose package (20), having a cylindrical pipe element (22) with an axially running channel (23) for a welding wire (9) and a protective gas (5) and having at least two cooling channels (29, 30) for supplying and returning a cooling fluid, and a union nut (24) rotatably arranged on the pipe element (22), the union nut having an internal thread for connection to a mating external thread on the socket part (34), the invention further relating to such a socket part (34). In order to produce an optimal connection between the torch neck (19) and the hose package (20), a flange (25) having at least one receiving opening for receiving a pin-like element (36) of the socket part (34) is arranged on the pipe element (22) of the plug part (21) in order to fix at least one angular position of the torch neck (19).

  • Patent number: 9532440
Abstract: A method and a device for generating a plasma jet under atmospheric pressure for the surface treatment of workpieces has a supply line for the plasma-capable medium, and an apparatus for electrically exciting the plasma-capable medium by an electric arc periodically ignited between a cathode and an anode constructed as a nozzle. To achieve a highly effective plasma jet even at relatively low temperatures of the plasma jet, a heating apparatus for preheating the plasma-capable medium is arranged upstream of the apparatus for electrically exciting the plasma-capable medium.

  • Publication number: 20150306695
Abstract: The invention relates to a plug part (21) for detachably connecting a torch neck (19) of a gas-cooled welding torch (7) to a socket part (34) disposed on a hose package (20), comprising a cylindrical pipe element (22) with a flange (25) and with an axially extending channel (23) for a welding wire (9) and for a protective gas (5) and comprising a union nut (24) which is rotatably disposed on the pipe element (22) and which comprises an inner thread for connection to a corresponding outer thread on the socket part (34). The invention also relates to such a socket part (34). The aim of the invention is to produce an optimal connection between the torch neck (19) and the hose package (20). This is achieved in that a bevel (32) is disposed on the flange (25) of the pipe element (22) of the plug part (21), and the end piece (35) of the socket part (34) has at least one axial slot (39).

  • Patent number: 9151487
Abstract: The invention relates to a heating element (25) for liquids to be vaporized as well as a burner (6) of a steam cutting device (1) and a burner (38) of a power-generating device, the element being designed as an induction heater (47) comprising one coil (25a). In order to improve vaporization, the coil (25a) of the induction heater (47) is enclosed in a hybrid construction which is composed of a main part (31) with laterally extending webs (33), and which consists of an easily magnetizable material (35) and a thermally highly-conductive material, a covering element (32) consisting of nanocrystalline materials being arranged on the webs (33), and the easily magnetizable material (35) being designed to be installed on a thermally highly-conductive material (37) of a vaporizer (21).
