    Abstract: A battery cover system for a portable device including. a printed circuit board (PCB) located in the portable device; a terminal mounted on the PCB configured to cover a portion of a battery when the battery is located in the terminal; and a cover configured to attach to the terminal and to cover at least a portion of the battery not covered by the terminal when the battery is located in the terminal, the terminal and cover together secure the battery in place in the terminal, wherein the cover is electrically connected to one of the positive and negative portions of the battery when the battery is located in the terminal and the other of the positive and negative portions of the battery not contacting the cover is contacting an electrical contact attached to the PCB.
