Another gas diffusion layer comprises a fiber and non-fiber material in a ratio such that the water vapor diffusion transport resistance is lower than 0.4 s/cm measured at 80 C and 150 kPa absolute gas pressure when the gas diffusion layer has a thickness greater than or equal to 100 microns. Fuel cells incorporating the gas diffusion layers are also provided.

The locking mechanism includes a seat and a locking element. The seat includes a bottom portion configured to receive the fixation device such that a socket of the bottom portion engages part of the fixation device and prevents the fixation device from passing entirely therethrough. The seat further includes a side portion configured to receive the stabilization device and a locking element. The locking element, when fully engaged with the side portion of the seat, causes locking of the relative positions of the fixation device and the stabilization device.

    Abstract: A system for grasping, holding, stabilizing, and selectively releasing tissue with minimal damage to the tissue. The system can further include a device that signals entry into the epidural space. A tubular member is provided having at a distal tip an annular surface surrounding a terminal port and at least one barb projecting at an angle from the annular surface for grasping and controlling the tissue. Each barb is formed having a sharp edge configured to grasp the tissue as the tubular member is rotated about its longitudinal axis. One implementation of the system includes a plurality of unidirectional barbs spaced around the annular surface. The system can further include an indicator mechanism that gives a visual and a tactile indication of when the tubular member, such as a cannula, encounters and penetrates tissue. The system facilitates the appropriate placement of an epidural or subdural catheter or patch of any kind.

The preferred co-coating agents are alkali metal silicate, sulphate, carbonate and carbonate chloride. Coated percarbonate is provided having an excellent combination of solubility, and stability, even with low amounts of coating agent.
