    Abstract: A glass transport rack includes a dual sided frame, a first knee brace, a first stop arm, and a second stop arm. The dual sided frame has a first face on a first side of the dual sided frame and a second face on a second side of the dual sided frame. Each face is operable to sport a glass sheet and a position between about 5 and about 30° from vertical and parallel to a longitudinal axis of the dual sided frame. The first knee brace is operable to adjustably extend from a first longitudinal end of the dual sided frame and has a first face coincident with a plane of the first face to support the glass sheet on the first face of the dual sided frame. The first and second stop arms are adjustable independent of one another.

    Abstract: A pump includes a flexible conduit, at least one valve attached to the flexible conduit about the perimeter of the valve; and a drive mechanism to move the valve to pump blood within the conduit. The drive mechanism can, for example, be adapted to complete a single stroke during each heart ventricle contraction and/or to complete multiple strokes (that is, oscillate) during a single contraction. The moveable valve includes a plurality of openings. Each of the plurality of openings has a closure mechanism in operative connection therewith which is operable to at least partially close the opening to which it is operatively connected when the moveable valve is moved forward and to open the opening to which it is operatively connected when the valve is moved rearward. In one embodiment, each closure mechanism includes a flap of resilient material.

    Abstract: A back flow limiting valve member which substantially, but not entirely, blocks reverse blood flow through a blood pump, such as when the blood pump is not pumping blood or pumping below a predetermined rate. The valve member can operate passively or actively in order to provide a limited back-flow through the blood pump to prevent clot formation. The back flow check valve may also be employed to restrict reverse blood flow through a blood flow conduit or blood vessel rather than in a blood pump.

The textured surface can have multiple, blood-compatible structures integrally formed thereon. The structures can be fibrils that are suitable for a generally uniform biological layer to be established thereupon.
