  • Publication number: 20150158372
Abstract: A system for a vehicle may include a vehicle chassis, an electric motor, and a torque strut. The electric motor may include a rotor and may be operable in a first mode to rotate the rotor in a first direction to propel the vehicle about a rotational axis and in a second mode in which the rotor is rotated in a second direction about the rotational axis. The torque strut may include first, second and third mounting structures. The first mounting structure may be coupled to the vehicle chassis. The second and third mounting structures may be spaced apart from each other and may be coupled to the electric motor to prevent relative rotation between the torque strut and the electric motor.

  • Publication number: 20130072313
Abstract: A driveshaft assembly that reduces noise created by a vehicle driveline. The driveshaft assembly includes a shaft having a first end section, a second end section, and a midsection positioned between the first end section and the second end section. The first end section and the second end section have a first diameter D1, the midsection has a second diameter D2, where D2<D1. The first end section and the second end section have a first thickness T1, the midsection has a second thickness T2, where T2>T1.

  • Patent number: 7648149
Abstract: A track bar for a rear suspension of a vehicle has a first tubular member, an energy dissipating member wrapped around the first tubular member, and a second tubular member encompassing the energy dissipating member. Together, the tubular members and energy dissipating member dampen vibration transmitted through the track bar to lessen the audible vibrations that rear the interior of a vehicle cabin.
