Patent number: 11921291Abstract: In an example method of training a neural network for performing visual odometry, the neural network receives a plurality of images of an environment, determines, for each image, a respective set of interest points and a respective descriptor, and determines a correspondence between the plurality of images. Determining the correspondence includes determining one or point correspondences between the sets of interest points, and determining a set of candidate interest points based on the one or more point correspondences, each candidate interest point indicating a respective feature in the environment in three-dimensional space). The neural network determines, for each candidate interest point, a respective stability metric and a respective stability metric. The neural network is modified based on the one or more candidate interest points.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 2019Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: Magic Leap, Inc.Inventors: Daniel Detone, Tomasz Jan Malisiewicz, Andrew Rabinovich

Publication number: 20240071412Abstract: Systems and methods of the present invention may relate to prediction of a mental health score, representing a mental condition of a speaker. Embodiments of the invention may analyze speech by receiving an audio data element representing a discussion; extracting a first set of audio segments pertaining to speech of a first speaker in the discussion; analyzing the first set of audio segments to produce a set of audio features; and applying a machine-learning (ML) model on the set of audio features, to predict a mental health score, representing a mental condition of the first speaker. Embodiments of the invention may provide technical means for supporting psychiatric assessment of mental disorders such as depression and anxiety in an automatic, nondisruptive manner, e.g., without direct patient's collaboration, thereby increasing validity of the assessment.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 3, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Daniel SAND, Samuel JEFROYKIN, Ilan KAHAN, Tal SIMON, Alon RABINOVICH, Shiri SADEH-SHARVIT

Patent number: 11706106Abstract: Policies can be applied to, and enforced for, specific resources by applying a corresponding tag to those resources. An entity, such as a customer of a resource provider, can generate one or more policies to be applied to a set of resources, where those policies can relate to data retention, backup, lifecycle events, and other such aspects. Each policy can be associated with a particular tag, which may comprise a key-value pair to be applied to various resources. A policy enforcement manager can determine the tagged resources and ensure that the relevant policies are applied. The policies can include logic or intelligence for performing a variety of tasks with respect to resources, groups of resources, or types of resources, as identified using the tags.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 2021Date of Patent: July 18, 2023Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Varun Verma, Daniel Rabinovich, Shobha Agrawal, Josephine Reiko Gibney, Rucha Nene

Patent number: 11556659Abstract: Generally described, one or more aspects of the present application correspond to techniques for managing snapshots in a partially encrypted state and providing access to partially encrypted snapshots. These snapshot management techniques allow a snapshot that is being encrypted to be accessed prior to the encryption being completed. Such a snapshot may have some blocks that have been encrypted, and other blocks that have not yet been encrypted. In order to provide access to such a snapshot in a partially encrypted state, a system may allow the encryption status of the blocks in the snapshot to be checked at the block level instead of at the snapshot level (or at some other intermediary level therebetween), according to some embodiments. By doing so, the system can reduce the delays resulting from snapshots that are locked during the encryption process.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2021Date of Patent: January 17, 2023Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Sandeep Kumar, Daniel Rabinovich

Patent number: 5592621Abstract: A system and method of providing an embedded controller network communication protocol, for controlling communications between a central controller and a plurality of active embedded controllers, wherein a first data transmission token (T2) is passed, under control of the central controller, from the central controller to an active embedded controller, back to the central controller, and then sequentially from the central controller to and from each coupled active embedded controller. Any active embedded controller may return data to the central controller only appended to the first token. A second data transmission token (T1) addressed to one active embedded controller is broadcast from the central controller to all of the active embedded controllers, with a data stream to be transmitted from the central controller to the addressed active embedded controller appended to the second data transmission token (T1).Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 1994Date of Patent: January 7, 1997Assignee: EMC CorporationInventors: Daniel Rabinovich, Henry Steinberg
