  • Patent number: 10295061
Abstract: An elastomer seal or gasket is to be inserted in a groove produced vertically on a support plane of a part, and tightened or clamped on an additional flat surface, with the seal presenting at least a portion of its cross-section (18, 20) including longitudinally a continuously variable shape, including fine side trips (42) spaced on at least one side and which are arranged vertically.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 24, 2015
Date of Patent: May 21, 2019
    Assignee: Carl Freudenberg KG

  • Patent number: 8439366
Abstract: A gasket includes a plurality of corner sections each having a cross-section having a width of at least a first dimension. A plurality of deformable sections are disposed between a pair of the plurality of corner sections, each of the plurality of deformable sections having a cross-section having a width less than the first dimension and having a curved shape that is deformable to a straight shape in its installed condition. The deformable sections allow the gasket to be formed with a smaller molding footprint than the assembled gasket shape and the plurality of corner sections have a same angled orientation in its installed and un-installed positions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 30, 2011
Date of Patent: May 14, 2013
    Assignee: Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership
