Abstract: A sanitary system having a plurality of sanitary elements, each of which has a communication interface on the sanitary element side, and at least one gateway which has a gateway-side communication interface, a memory and a processor, the memory and processor being operatively connected to one another and to the gateway-side communication interface. The at least one gateway is connected via the gateway-side communication interface to the sanitary element-side communication interface via a data connection. The data connection is designed as a direct data connection and is configured such that data can be exchanged between the gateway and the sanitary element via the data connection. The memory of the gateway is designed to store at least one logical group to which at least one selection from all sanitary elements connected to the gateway is assigned.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for replacing a sanitary device assigned to a gateway and communicatively connected thereto, comprising the following method steps carried out by the gateway: obtaining and storing a configuration of the sanitary device, identifying that the sanitary device is no longer communicatively connected to the gateway, identifying a second sanitary device which is not assigned to the gateway, determining a type of the second sanitary device, comparing the type of the sanitary device on the basis of the stored configuration with the determined type of the second sanitary device, determining that the type of the sanitary device and the type of the second sanitary device match, and loading the stored configuration of the sanitary device to the second sanitary device.

The connection unit comprises a connection pipe with an inlet, for connection to a mains system, and an outlet, a flushing pipe with an inlet and an outlet for connection to a nozzle arrangement for discharging flushing water into the urinal bowl of the urinal, and a support element on which the outlet of the connection pipe and the inlet of the flushing pipe are mounted in a fixed position. The control unit comprises a support element on which are arranged at least one control element, a pipe section with an inlet and an outlet and a flushing valve, which is arranged between the inlet and outlet and has a power-supply element.
