  • Patent number: 11945665
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for automated lateral transfer and elevation of sortation shuttles. An example system may include a track having a first portion arranged in a first direction, a shuttle configured to move along the track, and a shuttle carriage system configured to move in a second direction transverse to the first direction, where the shuttle is configured to move from the track to the shuttle carriage system. The shuttle carriage system may include a first frame configured to support the shuttle, a first electromagnet configured to propel the first frame, and a second electromagnet coupled to the first frame, the second electromagnet configured to propel the shuttle off the first frame.

  • Publication number: 20230293439
Abstract: The invention discloses a method for preparation of spray dried solid dispersions (SDD) comprising an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and a dispersion polymer (DISPPOL), wherein the spray drying is done with a supersaturated solution of API in a solvent mixture comprising two solvents, one is acetic acid, this supersaturated solution further comprising DISPPOL.

  • Patent number: 11488024
Abstract: A novel architecture for a network of deep reinforcement modules that enables cross-functional and multi-system coordination of autonomous systems for self-optimization with a reduced computational footprint is disclosed. Each deep reinforcement module in the network is comprised of either a single artificial neural network or a deep reinforcement module sub-network. DReMs are designed independently, decoupling each requisite function. Each module of a deep reinforcement module network is trained independently through deep reinforcement learning. By separating the functions into deep reinforcement modules, reward functions can be designed for each individual function, further simplifying the development of a full suite of algorithms while also minimizing training time.

  • Publication number: 20050235486
Abstract: The invention is related to a tube extracting device for compressing a tube end extended from a conventional drum of a boiler to remove the tube. The device includes a housing comprised of an outer clamping plate and an inner clamping plate pivotally connected by a pin. A grip for receiving the tube extends down from the housing. A hydraulically-powered ram moves the outer clamping plate relative to the inner clamping plate so that the grip closes around and compresses the tube. The power to the hydraulic ram is then shut, springs return the outer clamping plate and the inner clamping plate to their original position, which, in turn opens the grip so that the removed tube can be released from the device. The device is then lifted by a handle and the tube is removed from the drum.

  • Publication number: 20040201301
Abstract: A rotor assembly for a reluctance machine consisting of end holders with recesses for securing magnetic layers. The spaces between magnetic layers forming fillable nonmagnetic layers. These nonmagnetic layers being optionally not filled, filled with nonstructural material, filled with structural material, or a combination of these. If the nonmagnetic layers are filled with permanent magnets or a structural permanent magnet, consisting of honeycomb with embedded permanent magnets, the rotor then forms a hybrid permanent magnet machine. Spider holders and fiber wrapping optionally added to reinforce the rotor. This rotor assembly is also reversible so that the end holders' recesses secure the nonmagnetic layers instead of the magnetic layers. An assembly method for any configuration of the rotor assembly is set forth that employs simple manufacturing processes.

  • Patent number: 6434946
Abstract: An article assembly comprising a plurality of members includes a multi-layered brazed joint provided in the assembly between a first member that can be affected adversely by thermal exposure at a limiting and a second member requiring exposure, such as for brazing, at least at the limiting temperature. The assembly is provided with a multi-layered brazed joint directly or indirectly between such members by brazing to the second member a second brazing alloy that can be brazed at a temperature required to braze the second member, providing a preform. The assembly is brazed to include the first member by brazing members of the assembly together with a first brazing alloy, brazing at a temperature less than the limiting temperature, brazed at the second brazing alloy.

  • Patent number: 3958941
Abstract: Apparatus for the quantitative determination of organic carbon dissolved in water and aqueous solutions. A sample is exposed to ultraviolet radiation which oxidizes the carbon content of any organic material contained therein to carbon dioxide. The amount of carbon dioxide generated is measured by apparatus which eliminates interference from other substances.
