Publication number: 20250104439Abstract: In accordance with one disclosed method, a computing system may cause a first computing device to display a first notification of a first event detected at a monitored location, and may cause a second computing device to display a second notification of a second event detected at the monitored location. The computing system may additionally cause the second computing device to cease display of the second notification in response to a change of status of the first event.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 10, 2024Publication date: March 27, 2025Inventors: Daniel Reid Sundell, Jordan Theodore Thayer, Jason Andrew Carter

Publication number: 20250095402Abstract: A computing system may perform image processing on image data acquired by a camera at a property to determine at least a first feature of the image data. Based at least in part on a determination that the first feature satisfies a rule, the computing system may generate a vector representing a plurality of characteristics of a face represented in the image data. The vector may then be used to determine a particular person is represented in the image data.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 25, 2024Publication date: March 20, 2025Inventors: Jordan Theodore Thayer, Daniel Reid Sundell

Publication number: 20250095371Abstract: In some embodiments, a method may involve receiving, by an application executing on a computing system operated by a first user, data representing at least a first image acquired by a camera at a property and causing the computing system to output a first indication of an event at the property, the first indication including at least the first image. Based at least in part on an input by the first user indicating that the event is of a first type and preference data indicating that notifications of events of the first type are to be sent to a second user, causing, by the application, a notification concerning the event to be sent to an endpoint device associated with the second user, the notification causing the endpoint device to output a second indication of the first event.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2023Publication date: March 20, 2025Inventors: Jordan Theodore Thayer, Daniel Reid Sundell

Patent number: 9465604Abstract: Technologies are disclosed herein for displaying application content and additional content, such as advertisements, notifications, and other additional content. A first version of additional content may be received by a client device, for example, when the client device is connected to a network, and stored on the client device. The client device may determine if one or more conditions are satisfied for retrieving, over a network, a second version of the additional content. The second version may have a higher video fidelity than the first version. If the one or more conditions are satisfied, the client device may retrieve the second version and display the second version of the additional content. If the one or more conditions are not satisfied, the first version may be retrieved and displayed. Subsequent to displaying the first or the second version of the additional content, the application content may be displayed.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2015Date of Patent: October 11, 2016Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: George Elmer Burgyan, Paul Myoungwhan Choi, Xu Wei, Greg Suhyun Kang, James Andrew Trenton Lipscomb, Geoffrey Scott Pare, Robert Daniel Reid, Jr.

Publication number: 20120160299Abstract: A space based solar array has a substrate on which are placed a plurality of spaced apart solar cells. A transparent adhesive bonding layer is on the plurality of solar cells covering the solar cells and the substrate between said solar cells. In a preferred embodiment, the adhesive bonding layer is silicone. A transparent rigid buffer layer is on the transparent adhesive bonding layer. In a preferred embodiment, the transparent rigid buffer layer is made of polyimide and has properties suitable for the application of performance- or durability-enhancing thin-film coatings. A transparent thin-film stack including inorganic radiation protection layer is on the transparent rigid buffer layer. In a preferred embodiment, the transparent radiation protection layer is made of silica, alumina or thin glass. Performance enhancing layers can also be included into the thin film stack for anti-reflection and ESD control purposes.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2010Publication date: June 28, 2012Inventors: Austin Daniel Reid, Theodore Garry Stern, Eric Peter McNaul
