  • Patent number: 12116952
Abstract: An embodiment combustion chamber for an internal combustion engine includes a chamber body including a cylinder configured to receive fuel and air for carrying out an engine cycle including a combustion reaction of the fuel and a chamber roof including an injector tunnel opening disposed on an inner surface of the chamber roof, the injector tunnel opening being configured to guide the fuel injected in an injecting direction toward the cylinder, and the injector tunnel opening including a protrusion disposed on a path of the fuel along the injecting direction, the protrusion being configured to re-direct the path of the fuel along a re-directed path away from the inner surface of the chamber roof and a pair of grooves arranged on sides of the protrusion, respectively, the pair of grooves being configured to guide the fuel separated by the protrusion to the sides of the protrusion.

  • Publication number: 20190170188
Abstract: A bearing assembly is for movably coupling first and second members, one being movable relative to the other. A plain bearing section includes an inner ring having a bore for receiving the first member and an outer cylindrical bearing surface. An outer ring is disposed about the inner ring and has an inner cylindrical bearing surface disposed against the inner ring bearing surface, one bearing surface sliding against the other when the movable member displaces about a first axis. The two rings engage to prevent relative displacement between the rings when the movable member displaces about a second axis. An elastomeric bearing section is disposed about the plain bearing section, is connected with the second member and is formed such that at least a portion of the elastomeric bearing section flexes when the movable member angularly displaces about the second axis.
